every order was decent in serving portion, and taste. we tried the takoyaki, seaweed salad, shrimp tempura, miso soup, agedashi tofu, gyoza (pork), philadelphia maki (no photo) and a small, mixed sushi/sashimi combo platter.. a little pricey, considering all-you-can-eat places have more varierty/choice for food and charge about 30 to 40 per person.. we have ordered here before though, and it's always been a good experience and perhaps the only thing to critique is the price.. service was very good, and ambience, well.. crowded but not a bad feeling overall. i recommend all the stuff we ordered.. skip on the platter and order specific maki type.. not everything in the platter is enjoyable. everything cost $150

My wife and my son are Japanese and I am Chinese. And calling this a Japanese restaurant is like calling Panda Express a Chinese restaurant. The karage was more like a tempura. The tofu had like teriyaki sauce on it (are you crazy). The sashimi was dry. The rice was hard. The sushi ws the quality of gas station sushi. And after I expressed my opinion about this they gave me an ice cream and charged me the whole bill. This is clearly not an authentic restaurant and iits seriously just bunch of kids menu stuff at a high price. If you trying to find good Asian food in the area, please give this place a pass.

Came here on a Wednesday evening near their closing time. We were seated right away and served with hot green tea. We ordered a unagi don (eel rice) and a simply salmon dinner set. The unagi don was tasty, good amount of rice and sauce was just right. The simply salmon dinner set portion wasn't big enough for me and the salmon maki was just alright. We got a salad and miso soup as well from the dinner set. Overall, very nice atmosphere and staff for a Japanese restaurant in Oak Ridges! I would recommend!

One of my highly recommended Japanese Sushi restaurants. It's bright, clean and spacious . This time we can only have quick lunch , they served very fresh fish. Good service !

After trying various sushi restaurants in Toronto, this is probably the best value pick. Staff was very friendly, and our party had a great time.We ordered the large combination platter. The quality was surprisingly good compared to the ones you find in Toronto. Unfortunately this location is 30 minutes away from the city but if you’re in the area I would definitely recommend.

Not sure what has changed, this used to be my go to spot for sushi, super fresh and great filling to rice ratio. Last three times I have ordered it has increased in price, and the filling has reduced leaving not much taste to the rolls except rice. Real shame as I loved ordering from Kitano. I understand there is inflation, but the reduced portions seem a little suspicious to me.

Kitano Sushi is a bustling sushi restaurant right along Yonge Street in Richmond Hill.We greatly enjoyed our lunch there and ordered appetizers, maki rolls, and à la carte specialty rolls. Our order: miso soup, ebi mayo, California, salmon and avocado, spicy tuna, “Dyna star”, dynamite, volcano, salmon roe, and salmon sushi.The service was very welcoming and the staff answered the questions we had regarding our dietary restrictions (answers: the crab in the rolls is artificial and the soy sauce does not contain alcohol).All in all, very much enjoyed our meal and would love to come again!
