Went there today and ordered a BLT sandwich with fries and no tomatoes on the sandwich. So literally a BL on white toast. The waitress asked me if I want cheese on it and I said sure. The plate came out with about 10 fries and the saddest looking sandwich with tomatoes on it. I pulled the tomatoes off and ate the first half of the sandwich and couldn't taste bacon at all. I looked in the other half and there was none. I skid the waitress why there was no bacon in the BLT and she said sorry about that" and walked away. A few minutes later I asked her if I could have the bacon for the other half of the sandwich and she brought me 1 slice of bacon. Such a great deal for $17!I'll never go back there again."

If your looking for a nice drive and a great lunch please make the trip to support this little gem. They have been struggling since COVID and could use all the help they can get.You have to try the peanut butter pie!!!!M

Came for their creamed pies but had a lunch too. My wife had the beetless borscht I had a grilled cheese and chips my daughter had a bowl of cabbage roll and peroghies they were all delicious and there world famous cream pies as usual worth the trip. My favorite was the peanut butter cream pie. Real Iced tea perfectly brewed. Cost for 4 lunches pies and iced teas including tip under 100.00 . I love this place but don't get there often enough. Beautiful countryside . Make sure if you go to stop by the thrift store just down the hill . It's storefront is small but the inside is surprisingly large . It's like a step back in time. We'll worth the trip .

Really enjoyed the selection for lunch. I was working in Linden for a few days and stopped in twice for lunch here. The first day I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The bread was fresh and the sandwich was loaded with pulled pork and coleslaw, I had it with a side of portion of poutine. The poutine had a mild gravy loaded with cheese. On the following day I ordered the brisket . The meat was incredibly tender and the bun tasted incredibly fresh. While I was in the restaurant for my second lunch I discovered that they offered made in house pies. I ordered a peach pie for a treat when I got home. The pie was really nice, very homely I will definitely be stopping in for lunch and another pie whe I'm in the area next. I highly suggest if you’re in linden to stop here for lunch.

Certainly worth the drive out from Calgary. My sister and I had cabbage roll and sausage and our friend had the pulled pork sandwich. This is a hidden gem for sure. They serve borscht, perogies, burgers, salads and more. For desert we shared a slice of Peanut Butter Pie. Oh my goodness! What a surprise that was. It was so good that I bought a whole pie to take home to family to try. More trips are now planned.

When I visited there. I saw an elderly who bought six cinnamon buns. Just feel like I must get one, and it was the last one left. Love my cinnamon bun so much. Support local business

Delicious lunch stop! Friendly and efficient staff. The perogies are amazing and a good piece of pie to top it off.

UNDER NEW MGMT & OWNERSHIP.Stopped in here to give it a try while camping in the Linden. Friend actually said that he used to fly-in here to have their pie.Alas no pie due to apparently the new group took over just over a week ago. They should not have opened until they were fully ready. Old chalkboard specials from old ownership were still up, with daily specials written on it. When enquiring about the specials, we were told that was from the old ownership. Well then, perhaps you should erase it. The menu - very basic and expensive. The service - very unorganized, but they sure tried, perhaps some proper training would help. The food - ok. Here's what we ordered & received:Eggs on toast - 2 eggs, 1 slice of sourdough toast (should be 2) $8Eggs on toast - 2 eggs, 2 slices of multigrain toast, tater tots $8 (their almost famous breakfast potatoes were NOT available, toast texture was like old toast reheated to lukewarm)Toast with 1 egg - 2 eggs, 1 slice of sourdough toast (should be 2) $4Bacon & eggs - 2 eggs, 2 bacon, tator tots, 1 slice of toast (should be 2) $16A fresh pot of coffee was brewed upon our arrival, husband said was the worst coffee he had ever had (& he's a coffee lover). Tried to order their breakfast bowl but was told they didn't have their special sauce".Will be lots of growing pains here. For a small village
