St. Vincent Park

It's one of Barrie's original park since early 1840s. It's called St. Vincent Square originally. There are some mature trees, picnic pavilion. Fantastic lakeview. Picnic pavilion was built in 1895.

This is a great little park near the water (not on the water) with a dining shelter and a new, wheelchair accessible play area for children. Not much parking and some people leave garbage in the dining shelter instead of using the garbage container that is literally right there.

I love walking here the view is amazing, I wouldn't being kids here later in the day there seems to be alot of unsavory characters that use the gazebo at times I've smelt urine in the structure, bathrooms are new. Huge upgrades to the play structure this year and it's all open to enjoy now .

Got rained out on the Choapaya restaurant patio so we had to do take out and the owner recommended St. Vincent Park as it had a large shelter. My date and I then had an excellent Thai meal undercover from the rain overlooking the lake. Very nice suggestion, very nice little park.

Beautiful and so close to the water. Clean, nicely manicured. Equipment for the kiddos too.

Nice waterfront park with small playground

They haven't finished the rebuild here but to my knowledge this is the first park I have seen in Barrie that will have a complete playground for young and older kids as well as a wheel chair accessible swing and a small water play area. They have also added some beautiful benches for sitting areas, a area to lock bikes up and they rebuilt the public bathrooms last year.At first I was devastated to see them doing work at this park as I have been going to this park for 40 years but they left most of the original trees including the ones in the centre that my brother and I used as a fort when we were small.The city of Barrie did a good job on this one!!!I love it just as much as I always have. My kids continue to play here and I hope to watch my grand children play here one day.

Quaint and refreshing. Old playground amenities but it was very relaxing to be by the waterfront in a relaxing and quiet environment. Not too busy, great spot for proper social distancing.

One of my kids favourite parks. Plenty of shade, beautiful water view, and very rarely is it busy. Let the tourists use the downtown park, this one is just as good and breezy.
