Vivian Ridge Farm

When moving out of a bad boarding situation, I asked my vet where I could move that would provide the best care for my horse and they recommended Vivian Ridge. They were right - Diane treats every horse like her own. I never had to worry about my horse as I knew she and her staff keep a close eye on the horses and are quick to notice small details that others miss.Over the years I seen Diane support owners through vet visits, injury, and illness. I often saw her helping with wrapping, hosing legs, attending vet visits and other extras I had not seen at other barns. I have watched many horses who have arrived at the barn similar to my own, in poor weight or condition, gain weight and have a great quality of life on large grass fields.If you are looking for a small community, and a barn where your horse's care will be put first I highly recommend Vivian Ridge Farm.

This boarding stables is by far the best I have seen. I have cared for my horses and others at home for many years so I was fussy about where she went.Sometimes people do not have horse knowledge just because they own a horse. Sometimes the owner is the horses worst enemy.Rather than listening to one disgruntled person totally lacking in knowledge go look for yourself and you will see what a fabulous place this is.

Vivian Ridge Farm is an amazing place to board your horse. I have been here with my horse since November of 2021 and we are extremely happy. My horse put on weight over the winter and the care is impeccable. There is a poor review written that is very inaccurate. Sadly, that person was asked to leave by the owner and their experience is the product of lack of knowledgeable horse ownership and spite, not farm negligence.The stalls at Vivian Ridge are incredibly well bedded. This farm, by far, provides the most amount of bedding than any farm I have had my horse at before. Turn out time for the horses is all day, from early morning to early evening, and the fields have no more mud here than any other well-maintained horse farm. Since we have been here, there have been no issues with horses escaping fences.The staff are also incredibly knowledgeable and your horse is monitored very carefully, with staff and the barn owner going out of their way to treat even the smallest injury while connecting with you immediately. Horse herds are happy and all are very well fed. Hay is given often and given in abundance, especially at night check. Only small squares are given as well, which is amazing and not typical of most boarding barns! Indoor and outdoor arenas and grounds are well maintained with several spaces available to ride and enjoy your horse.The atmosphere at Vivian Ridge is drama free and not busy. Everyone is friendly and all staff are very helpful. The hours are also extremely flexible so you can see your horse often, even if you have a busy schedule. Pricing also remains affordable along with providing great care and a positive experience.I highly recommend boarding here!

Peaceful place and nice neighborhood

BEWARE. My horse left emaciated from this barn.Hay is in very short supply. Horses are not getting the nutrients they need from the lack of quality of hay and grain options. Very minimal hay in stalls and paddocks. During late fall/winter of 2021/2022 I would frequently see my horse without hay and just standing there. This was coming at different times throughout the day and sometimes twice a day.Vet scored my horse a 4/9 in December 2021. After leaving this barn March 2022, blood work showed malnutrition.Uneaten grain/poo goes unnoticed in food bowls. Food bowls are never cleaned unless by owner. There was a day that I know of that stalls were not mucked and hay was not given until late afternoon.Fences are not in good shape. Horses have escaped and ended up on Warden Ave.Very minimal maintenance and upkeep on property. Paddocks are extremely muddy, horses walking on frozen poo.Barns and property dirty and poorly maintained. Stalls are very unlevel and wet, minimal bedding.Footing in both arenas is substandard and hardly ever harrowed.This place was once a low cost option, with great care and an acceptable facility. But those days seem to be over.This was a very toxic atmosphere and my horse significantly suffered.

Been boarding at VR for a year, my horse loves the quiet, consistent atmosphere there. Had a situation where I had to rest for four weeks/could not come to the barn, in which my horse required daily wound treatment that the Owner of the Farm, Diane tended to daily for weeks. Diane did an amazing job, treated my horse as she would her own beloved horse. Vivian Ridges boarders are very friendly and love their pets, the staff are good horse loving people, there is excellent turnout, and individual feed programs. This is a professionally owned, operated and maintained facility with very fair rates.
