From the first day Dennis Toll opened his doors in 1996, to serve the people of Brantford, the professionalism and personal attention to detail had been phenomenal. I've attended many, many funerals here, throughout the years including that of beloved family members, under Dennis' superb, personal, compassionate and meticulous direction,. His assistant, Gary Callitsis is the most fantastic, gentle, kind and intuitive person that surpasses all expectations with his ability to provide attention to detail, comfort and care at a time so needed!Since new management has taken over, I've attended a few more visitations, and found the personal, caring touch and professionalism has drastically deteriorated. In 30 plus years, never have we entered the funeral home without a pleasant staff member greeting you with a smile and directing you where you needed to go.Recently, I brought it to the attention of two of the older gentlemen working, of which neither of them seemed to care what I had to say, seemed bothered by it -- except to defend their actions blaming covid, not allowed to open doors, and can only stand back at this little table that displayed sanitizer. No one was present at that table when I entered or exited. In addition to, the three other occasions I attended visitations, did I EVER see a single staff in sight. Very sad state of decline of what Dennis, Gary and staff spent a life time building -- now leaving behind a legacy that remains top-notch , and truly unmatched! Dennis and Gary, outstanding, exemplary professionals!(ps--The Manager who responded totally missed the point of my review.First of all, I'm not frustrated! (Sounds like a copy and paste response.) Disappointment is a more accurate description, not for myself, but for the community. And its an insult that you find it necessary to outline the Coivd rules. I believe we are well aware! Maybe you need to reread the review to understand the main observation from an outsider ....NO staff was present or anywhere visible to visitors coming into your funeral home. Sorry you totally missed the point of my review . What a waste of my time!

I was going through old photos the other day and found my father's funeral program. Waves of terrible memories rolled in as I remembered the appalling service we received from Dennis Toll. They FORGOT to put my Father's obituary in the paper. It was finally published the DAY OF the funeral - so many friends of his and the family were not able to pay their respects. We chose a beautiful photo of my father for the funeral program. To our despair it was cheaply printed ON COMPUTER PAPER - his photo stretched and his portrait was distorted. I was heartbroken. My father had died and they had showed an insulting lack of respect for his honour and memory. Please spare yourself of the heart ache and do not use Dennis Toll to take care of the ones you love.

I cannot begin to say enough about this funeral home and it’s funeral director, Andre. We suddenly and unexpectedly lost my father two weeks ago. From the beginning Andre went above and beyond and made herself available after hours for anything my family needed during this difficult time. My father had passed away in the US and the funeral home there was incredibly difficult to deal with. Andre worked very quickly and efficiently to get my father back home to us within a couple days when we were initially told by others that the process could take upwards of 21 days. Toll funeral drove all the way to Michigan and back to bring him back to us.The service, funeral and reception were all so beautiful and personal from the beginning. Andre and the rest of the staff went above and beyond. Can’t thank you all enough for your kindness and empathy for myself and my family during this extremely difficult time.

Their is a reason that this funeral home is the busiest one in Brantford. Amazing staff, great reception area, very clean, great food options for all price ranges.

Of all the funerals I have attended at Dennis Toll Funeral Home, the facilities are always clean. The furniture is in great condition. High volume visitations are well managed by staff.

When Dennis Toll ran it, I have lasting memories of a horrible experience. Lately I attended the funeral of a friend, the lead car and hearst pulled out followed by one or two cars to the cemetery leaving the rest of us a hit and miss to get there due to traffic. The staff are nice, the home modern, and I will say nice service for my Aunt (under the new management) . Nice funeral home.

Attended a funeral here recently. Pleasant helpful staff, good food, nice newer chapel can accommodate a large crowd.
