*MUST* visit & enjoy the dining. It may be a long drive & you may think is it worth it?Trust me you won't be disappointed. Amazing food & professional staff make it all worth it.

We had a great dinner of pan fried cod. One order was enough for two of us. A little more time between appetizers and main course would have been nice, but it was all good. Blueberry cheese cake was yummy.

Olde Shoppe Restaurant
Just got back from a swim at Lumsden Beach and found this gem across the bridge from our cabin rental here in Newtown. This restaurant is part of a heritage restoration. We at on the patio deck and watched boats go by. Very relaxing. Great meal and cheerful attentive staff. Definitely worth the visit.

Food was delicious. The hot turkey was so fresh and lots of gravy. Fish was good too. Service was great. The waitress was super friendly.

Great food.. nice atmosphere with beautiful murals painted on the wall and all the windows looking out to the patio and water. Service was top notch. Very accommodating as we were dining with twin boy infants... yes they had high chairs. Would definitely cone back on our next visit;-)

Went here with my pop while we were on a salmon fishing trip. It was not very busy there bit usually is. It was a cold rainy day so we sat indoors. I had a steak. It was delicious and cooked just right. The atmosphere of the restaurant is super cozy. The view is very nice. It is on a little island with a bridge over to it. You can watch boats go under the bridge. The bridge is not very long, but it is still a very nice effect. I would always make reservations early though because it fills up by lunch. 100% would reccomend to go here!

Food and service is great BUT like a lot of other NL tourism destinations, they fail to update their web sites and or Facebook pages. Breakfast is NOT available but web page says it is.

Made a reservation to remember my parents wedding anniversary. Each year we take Mom out since Dad passed 3 years ago! We waited 25 minutes to see a waiter to place a drink and appetizer order….. however, seeing they were busy, we placed the entire order the same time as the appetizers and drinks…. It took another 20 minutes to get a beer and a basket of onion rings! Another hour passes and people who came in an hour after we were seated at a reserved table….. well they were served and well into desert! Still no meals… so i got up and inquired to the supervisor and granted Rosalind is a sweet person… however , to be told that the kitchen was now winding down and that getting a meal would probably be impossible and that we owed them for a beer and onion rings… $17! We left the establishment hungry …. By this time the kitchen had begun cleanup so getting our 2 orders of fish and chips and a roast turkey dinner would had taken another hour so we reluctantly paid which under the circumstances the bill should had been withdrawn and a free meal voucher issued immediately!! Never been treated so bad in our lives! Especially being a sad day of remembering a very special person and now this slapped in our face!!!! Never again!!!!
