I'm gonna be honest. I really liked the atmosphere and the service, staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcomed.The only reason I give it 4 stars it's because of the price. Yes, the food is really good but it is way more expensive than expected.It is definitely a place you go once a year on a special occasion and wouldn't recommend anyone to go there if they are visiting Calgary on vacation.

The person at the front desk was very friendly and inviting, as well as our server Carly who was able to answer our questions and make us feel comfortable.The food was delicious with some changes to the usual due to supply issues.The main complaint I have is a small one, the knives are terrible! They have no serration so are awkward to cut steak with unless probably extremely sharp which mine was not.I loved my teriyaki steak and lobster, as well as the mini creme brulee which was perfect since we were so full but wanted a taste!

Had the best service at the keg in market mall tonight. We have been to many other locations but never have had such an amazing server. Our server was Geordie and he made our experience very memorable. He was friendly and kind towards us and offered us everything to make our experience better. He made sure throughout our meal to check up on us to see if we needed anything else. Definitely recommend asking for him to have the best dining experience.

Really loved going to this location. Our server Sam was very helpful and the meals were great. Especially the prime rib, it was extremely tender. High end designed, this restaurant looks much cooler than the ones we have in Toronto, ON.

We go to the Keg specifically for the escargot. If they ever change that recipe we will probably be there less frequently. Our usual go to is the Keg Classics. Our last 3 visits have been rough with the timing of food service. The second last visit we had Caesar salad and main meal delivered to the table almost immediately together.This last visit we did not receive the Caesar salad at all before prime rib was hitting the table. The meals were removed. The salad was delivered by manager with assurance that meals would be up to standard. Meals were delivered to the table after salad and had been clearly kept under heat lamp the entire time. Prime rib (10 oz & 18 oz) was ordered medium and was well past well-done, even the horseradish was hot. Manager was requested.General manager appeared. We stated circumstances of service. Mentioned that this was not the first time order and timing of plates were incorrectly done. She took our plates. Replaced our meals with fresh food all around. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. It was obvious that it was a fresh cut for each of us. Free dessert was offered which we declined, the server offered to pack up a free dessert to take home. In the end general manager visited our table twice, and comp was made on billing.It is unfortunate that the correction that needed to be made had to go to general manager level, but she did make it right in the end. We did not find the fault to be solely the server, it was a combination of server, expediter, kitchen, and chef. We will continue to return to the Keg because they do have good food for what they are, and it’s consistent from one location to the next. And based on experience they will attempt to fix mistakes so that customer is satisfied that concerns are addressed.

Always a great experience at the Keg. Enjoyed the classic dinner with 7oz filet, twice baked potato, Ceasar salad and a 9oz glass of red Strike wine. Total yum! My friend is celiac and the the big boss" always comes to the table to confirm that her meal will be prepared accordingly. Very classy!"

The food and restaurant were lovely, but I am leaving this review because the service was impeccable! Matt B was our waiter and he was so charismatic, helpful, attentive and just went above and beyond! Made for an excellent date night, and the creme brulee is SO good!

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Market Mall
I was going for dinner and happened to walk by a young girl who was clearly overdosed on drugs outside the restaurant with a very nicely dressed young man attending to her to make sure she stayed alive while the ambulance came. He turned out to be the manager of Market Mall Keg (Trevor). He had no gloves or personal protection but didn’t hesitate to help the young lady maintain her airway until the ambulance arrived. I was very impressed. He didn’t have to do that. I found the rest of the staff to be genuinely concerned for her safety too. He obviously instills a culture of caring for people. I hope someone at corporate sees this and acknowledges his efforts and kindness towards others in need.
