Disappointed with the management. Have been calling from past 2 days to say that the toilet is clogged and the fridge is leaking. Not a single person has showed up to check the issue. After hour maintenance showed least interest when called and pushed aside the problem saying they can't help if the landlord already knows about it.

Amazing team. So helpful and kind. 100% recommend if youre looking for a place in Thunder Bay.

We enjoyed out time at Grenville On The Lake, Cathy kept the building spotless and was always helpful with any problems that arose. Our reason for moving was to have more room for grandchildren to stay over and a yard. We would highly reccomend this apt building !

I rented from them, and they were great from the office staff to the building management. Very friendly always say hello when they see you in the hall or at the mail box I would rent from them in a heart beat My first choice for sure.

We've had Dawson Properties as our landlord for a year. They have been timely and courteous in responding to our needs, they are proactive in preventing insect or bug problems, and the apartments are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend them to anyone moving into Thunder Bay.

The apt and manager is so nice.One of the receptionist elderly women is always so rude.I felt very uncomfortable when I talked to her.She is kind of a person who doesn’t want to work at all.——————————————————————Edit)The old receptionist not there anymore.New receptionist was very professional and kind.I lived this apt almost 3 years. The building was a bit old, but their management was great! They dealt with anythings instantly and clean the apt regularly.The only thing that I moved this apt was that I was moving other city.I think the rent fee is also reasonable price compared to other apt companies.

I am writing this review on behalf of my fiancé who rents through Dawson properties. She has experienced harassment from both a maintenance man and the Superintendent in the form of verbal abuse (yelling at her while she took out bagged items or doing laundry) to the point where she no longer feels safe to do either by herself. The more disturbing thing I have noticed is that my fiancé and I have caught the maintenance man snapping pictures of her, myself and her friends taking bagged items out of her apartment (we have copies of these photos with the maintenance man's name and email on them) and as a result she is afraid to leave her home by herself. On top of that she has asked maintenance to fix light fixtures which she can no longer install a light bulb, along with the patio door which is stuck closed and she received no response. Do not rent from Dawson Properties.

Stardust building is cigarette smoke infested. The hall way carpets need to be torn up, and a fresh coat of paint. They allow grandfathered in smokers. Cigarette smoke travels through the floor vents. Electrical is not up to code. Fuses pop all the time. Multiple complaints needed before action is taken. There was even a fire in our building recently. I totally feel safe living here. *eyeroll*

Fantastic management. We had our toilet running in the middle of the night and they were there to fix it right away. I recommend Dawson properties to anyone looking for an apartment in Thunder Bay.

My partner and I rented from a Dawson Properties apartment on arthur street for 6.5 years, from early 2014-late 2020.Throughout the whole tenancy, we had decent neighbors, enjoyed the convenience of living on a main street, had several minor repairs done by maintenance, and had a fairly average rent payment. The apartment was never fancy but we were just starting out and it worked for us. It is, however, an older building and in spite of it being advertised as a “senior’s apartment building”, this is deceptive because the building we lived in is NOT accessible. Yes, it has an elevator, but one must go up or down some stairs to even get to it. Also, the biggest issue with the building is the high humidity and MOLD problems. Our unit didn’t have it too bad but we had to constantly run a dehumidifier in the cooler months to avoid mold growing around the windows which of course increased our hydro bill. In reality the building needs to be gutted at the expense of the company. I had a relative who lived in the same building for a couple of years and their mold problem was significant.Lastly, I decided to rate Dawson properties fairly low because of recent events. In the winter of 2019-20 the parking lot was never plowed properly, and there were wavy groves of snow and ice one had to walk on to get to the vehicles. I called multiple times to get this fixed and in reply the secretary stated “yeah it’s just that time of the year”. Putting the health and safety of tenants at risk because of laziness is inexcusable to me- this wasn’t normal tbay snow and ice, it was negligence. Also, in the summer of 2020 I had multiple towels (4 full sized bath towels and countless hand towels) go missing from the laundry facilities which I assume was theft. I reported it via email and never got a response back. This has led me to spend my final weeks of tenancy sitting on the floor of the laundry room when I'm doing towel loads to ensure no more are stolen (something that I NEVER had to do for the previous 6 years). Having people start stealing from me in my own residence was the final straw. I used to recommend dawson properties up until 2019 but that is no longer the case.
