LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services

This place is supposed to open at 8am and at 8:10 there is a line of 20+ people out the doors. The reason this is 2 stars and not one is that the staff who performed my monitor procedure was very friendly

I got a really patient meeting and the girl from front desk is sweet, includes people from radiology is nice, too. I may recommend people come at morning so everyone is on a patient mode, but u need extra waiting for this

My appointment was 12:35. I entered at 12:32, registered and got reared by 12:39. I left the lab 12:40. I think the people who complain the service here are those who did not make an appointment online? It was very fast, efficient, and they were very nice.

I’ll never come back.Every member of registration are absolutely rude with elders. It’s hard to hear how disrespectful people could be to those, who need way more compassion and care. Yelling at people, saying “sit down, can somebody explain her to sit down”. I thought I’m in Canada, and we are care about each other’s, but no.That day, I came to pick up a container for my test on the following day and they gave me a lecture about “they can’t do anything without lab req”. I witnessed 5 disrespectful dialogues there while was waiting for about 20 minutes.I left.Same day life lab at Hornby 777, they gave me container without any lecture, just asked a few questions.Please do something about it.Put less pressure on your workers or help them to change location so that they won’t contact with that many elder people at once.

Website states they open at 7am but they actually open at 8am. (I am here on a Friday). It’s a bit unorganized and you can tell the staff has lost its patience. The older woman reception is sometimes nice and then sometimes rude to people who don’t speak much English. It’s a bit hard to hear and she’s screaming at seniors. She will also scream at you if you are standing on the wrong side of her computer. LOL They are a bit unorganized so sometimes there’s a long wait but once you are in, it’s pretty quick. If you can make your way to another life labs, go somewhere else.

Make a online checking before going and it will reduce the waiting time. The staff is friendly.It just seems like they should enhance the cleaning on the collection room. The seat was dusty and with some visible droplets on the counter.

Super quick especially with the Save my Spot function, and one of the most painless and fast blood draws I’ve had. Front desk and nurse were both very friendly.

Save my spot is useless here. Estimated time is not reliable at all. And there’s a staff who’s ridiculously rude. He seemed annoyed and argued that I wasn’t there when he called my name. I tried to tell about the remaining estimated time in the app, but he didn’t listen. He just interrupted me and kept nagging. He’s an old asian male staff. I don’t know his name. Avoid this lab if you don’t wanna be treated like that :/

I wanted to write a review of my visit last Feb 28th, 2023. Given the current state of healthcare in the province, I already know I am going to be waiting a fair bit even though I have used the tools available to me (save my spot, appointments etc).I arrived at about 2ish pm and the waiting room is almost full, and they are closing in about 1.5 hours or so. Even at almost the end of their day, the staff took their time to be friendly with me. They still had smiles in their faces, even though I know how tiring it can be working nonstop, trying to help as much as they can.I wish I knew their names, but it was a kind, older gentleman with glasses who first checked me in. Then it was a very lovely cheerful lady who asked me how my name is pronounced - I am used to my name being pronounced incorrectly but her taking the time to make me feel welcomed, was very highly appreciated.Then I was led into the cubicle and it was a friendly, young gentleman who did my blood draw. I just had 2 blood draws from the same spot the day before, so not his fault that it was painful for me, but I appreciated that he stayed positive and assured me, and he had the biggest smile on his face. Out I go smiling and thanking the lady at the desk.Thank you so much for such a pleasant experience. I waited maybe 15 minutes despite checking in the app 30 minutes beforehand, but I'd have gladly waited longer if it meant easing the stress for the staff and being welcomed with the service I got today. Hope this message will be read by those 3 people I mentioned and it brightens their day as much as they have mine!

This is the worst Lifelabs in the city. It's busy, unsanitary and they don't enforce mask wearing. I haven't been sick in over 3 years but I caught a virus while I was in the waiting room. I wish I'd gone to one of the other Lifelabs. Don't go here if you can help it.
