Good prices on cheese - packaged a lot better and lasted longer. Prices are fair and competitive for st lawrence.

A wonderful cheese shop! Terrific service. And, just as in bygone days, they'll provide tasting samples. All kinds of cheeses, from around the world. One in particular, Eccentrique, seems to be exclusive to them. Instead of a block, I get slices. And, every time I introduce this cheese to somebody, they love it as much as I do!I highly, highly recommend this shop.

I have been going to the St. Lawrence Market location for decades. They have a fantastic variety of cheese. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit.

I love shopping here because they have a great selection of cheeses that taste SO GOOD and are the friendliest people ever . I am not a cheese expert and they do not make you feel bad about it. Instead, they ask you qualifying questions and get you the best cheese. I've been shopping there for close to a decade. They also carry the best extra virgin olive oil and jelly so I am glad I can pick up those items there too.

Shopping at Alex Cheese in St. Lawrence Market is always such a wonderful experience! Today we were greeted with warm smiles, great cheese tastings & friendly conversation. Most of all we were made to feel like we were part of the family. We used to live in St. Catharines and drive to the market but now we moved back to the city and as always we are happy & loyal customers!This cheese shop is the only one for my family!Thank you.RaRa & David

I've decided not to give Alex's Farm a star but this site requires it. I was NOT impressed by the customer service I received there last week. I asked for a cheese that would to well with a dinner that was being served that night. And I was asked what I wanted: mild or strong and soft or hard. I was then given a taste of a cheese that was outstanding. And he went ahead and cut enough for the size of my party. What he failed to mention is the outstanding price of the cheese. It was above and beyond my budget and his reply was that the cheese was expensive.What I do expect is a cheese monger who also considers the price point of the cheese BEFORE it is cut. So that the customer can decide if it fits the budget. This is not NEW to Alex's Farm. I have now found out from others that this is what they do. Won't ever go back there again. The service is not what I want. And there are many choices of where I can go in Toronto. I will though tell my story to my friends and family so they don't get that kind of service.

This shop has changed my life. The knowledge and selection of cheese available to you is overwhelming! You can easily end up having to set aside a cheese budget" every month

It was a bad experience for us, with a correct but really excessively expensive cheese (the prices are of course not indicated...) and above all, a mouldy butter which, when checked, was indeed expired. The choice is great, but the quality of service and products seems uncertain.

I always come here for manouri cheese. The worker knows me very well. He's friendly and always brings me what I wanted. I love it when he gives me samples of cheese. I even love the Paris toasts that he gives me for free because he's such a nice person.

Overpriced cheese and staff who are more like con men than knowledgeable sales people. Really an awful experience.
