Smith Rock Chalets

We booked on New Year's Day for the next night. We didn't expect to get a place at such short notice, considering that we were travelling with our pets. The facility is amazing, and the staff very accommodating. The room had everything we needed—plus a whirlpool bath! The closets and cupboards were stocked with supplies well beyond the offering of many hotels we've stayed in. All was clean and in good repair and beds were comfy. We want to experience Smith Rock in the other seasons, so we will definitely back.

Smith Rock is absolutely beautiful. The drive up to the chalets you instantly start to relax. Upon arrival the staff were kind and very accomodating asking if there was anything they could do for our wedding the next day. This instantly created a relaxed feeling that carried throughout the next day. We were supposed to get married outside however mother nature had other plans. The staff opened the doors to an absolutely beautiful space inside without hesitation offered to set up anything we needed or rearrange anything that we wanted. They gave us privacy and ensured we would not be interrupted. The property provided us with ample opportunity for pictures that were absolutely beautiful.The chalets were perfect and the view is stunning!! Very clean and cozy.We cannot wait to return year after year to relax and explore the hiking and biking trails located on the property.Thank you Smith Rock staff for helping make our special day a memorable one!

Lovely spot situated in The mountain beauty as far as the eye can see. Bed was so comfy and warm and the jet tub was amazing.

The view is fantastic. Great hiking or snowshoeing right off the property . The hottub followed by a fire in the woodstove is a must-it snowed when we were there. Their winter deals for stays during the week cannot be beat.

The location is beautiful, and the staff were welcoming. However, the beds are so uncomfortable! The sofa sleeper is very old and even the children we were with couldn't sleep in it all night because it was too uncomfortable. The bathroom has the shampoo fixed to the wall *across the room* from the bathtub/shower, so it's not really useful.We checked in late, so there weren't any options for food nearby. It's about a 15-minute drive to any sort of civilization or amenities, with the exception of a tiny cafe and market that closes early. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the rooms and furniture could definitely be upgraded and we will make plans to have everything we need to eat and drink prior to arriving.

It was an awesome spot we were there over Christmas and the chalet even had a small Christmas tree in the TV area.

My friend rented a chalet, when we arrived at the chalet and the check in was closed. We called several times and just got voicemail so he did not get to get his room and had to go find somewhere else to stay for the night. When he called the book the room they said nothing about what time he had to be there by or that they closed the check in. The owners live upstairs from where you check in but we're not answering the phone or returning the voice messages left. Also in the middle of nowhere is in the woods and very out of the way. I can't do a review on the rooms as we didn't get to have one. Also it was quite pricey.

The view from the chalets nestled on top of Fitzpatrick Mountain is absolutely beautiful. We stay in the sane cabin and love to go in the winter during the week...good deal. Woodstove, private, comfy, snowshoeing, hiking, so much fun n relaxation! Well worth your money for a couple's getaway. We are renewing our vows in October and have booked to stay for a few days! Owners are great to let us check in early at noon! Great place :)
