Tea Garden Salon and Spa

Found this place while I was in Nelson for my birthday. So glad I did! Very professional yet homey. All staff I came into contact with were pleasant and welcoming. The masseuse was AMAZING, actually fell asleep at the end! Thank you everyone at Tea Garden Spa for a lovely end to a fantastic to birthday!

Do not get a hair cut at this salon. My hair was ruined. It was so bad I laughed. Then cried. I called to speak to the owner as I like to give a review and concerns personally not on line but the owner never called me back. I wish I could post the picture. Beware and don’t go there!!!Trish

I have been here twice now. I went in with new regrowth and babylites on the ends. I asked for my babylites to be picked through understanding the process of going lighter was going to be a challenge. This did not happen. I walked out the first time understanding it is a process and even left a large tip. I went back to try and correct the issue only to have the same splotchie unevenness only a bit lighter. I only had 4 weeks of regrowth on the roots and even they were orange :(. This sucks. I'm super sad and have left the salon in tears twice now. I can't go back after giving 700.00 in the last month. Urgh. Devastating.

Had my first haircut/style for the first time in years and I am absolutely in love. Bobbi did such an amazing cut. She achieved everything I wanted. Overall I had such a lovely experience! Will definitely be back for future cuts!

Hi everyone- I am an esthetician. I thought I try them out a couple weeks ago for a sugar French bikini wax. My husband drove me in that day as the roads were terrible; about 25 min drive. Parking in Nelson bc can be brutal… limited parking! My appointment was for 11:00am. I arrived at 11:07am to the manager and esthetician who was supposed to provide service talking about me, rolling their eyes as if there was a big problem! I greeted them happily and expected my appointment. Hi I’m elysia I’m here for my appointment- I was very rudely told no, I was told they were so busy that she couldn’t and would not provide me service! I drove in a blizzard , got dropped off by the spa so my husband could find a spot to park, I was gossiped about , stared down and rejected. So brutal. I have worked in a few spas and I have never once seen anyone of anyone’s clients be rejected due to being 7 mins late. They staff were unprofessional, rude, no guest service or customer service what so ever. I have heard terrible experiences about the staff but thought I’d try as I was looking for sugaring services. I’ll happily never support this local business with my money ! Telling anyone I know my experience. Brutal.

I got a women’s cut today and had the best experience. I was a little early to my appointment and was greeted with a cup of tea. The overall atmosphere is super welcoming and professional. Bobbi did an incredible job and treated me to the best scalp massage when washing my hair. She was super professional, funny and personable. My overall cut looks great and was EXACTLY what I asked for. If you’re looking for a new stylist Bobbi is amazing. Highly highly recommend!! I will be back for balayage for sure.

Had a birthday present from my partner that was very expensive. Each time I went in I got treated like I shouldn’t be in there. The manager makes you feel like trash and is not friendly. Each time the massage therapist were lovely… but then when I went to pay for my treatment with a gift card she actually said to me “uh you’re paying with a gift card. That’s annoying”…. So that made me feel great… after the first experience I went in with my partner again and got massages… on that same gift card… that she messed up on and after my partner went back to try to fix it she still gave him amounts on there that I never spent. I am a local here and have worked for Aveda before…. I will NEVER spend another cent there again I left feeling like I was a bother to them after everything that happened. The only thing I got from this spa is the therapist that work there, I will be seeing them at the other places they work.

10/10 would go here again. The staff are all super nice, plus they compliment your hair(which is always fun). And they do amazing jobs as well. I would recommend that you request for Bethanie to do your hair as she is my favorite stylist there.
