Travelled from Winnipeg and before doing anything we came here. My love was in heaven :-). The staff were friendly and the selection was amazing. If you're into cross stitching or knitting you need to visit this place.

Very nice store with a great selection. This store is truly a gem. It is well organized with a beautiful layout. There are a lot of books and ideas to choose from. So many nice buttons, you will want a long time to find the perfect ones. The owner, Kim, was very sweet, friendly and helpful. It is definitely a must see when you are in Trounce Alley!

This shop is a small and cozy getaway from the busy bustle of downtown Victoria. There's always beautiful music playing inside and the folks who run the shop are absolutely delightful. The button selection here is unmatched in the city, dare I say the island, and there's also a great selection of yarns and embroidery floss too. If you're a cross stitcher, this is a must visit shop on any trip to the capital.

My favourite place to go for high quality yarn to do my special projects. Literally one of the first stores I went into and fell in love with when I first arrived in Canada.The selection is beautiful and the store is even more so. Everything is set up so aesthetically and pleasing to the eye, a true work of art. Such a comforting place to be surrounded by my favourite material of craft.The owners are such kind, respectful and compassionate people. Knowledgable about yarn, needlework and buttons. Always available and answers questions with patience, helping you find the perfect match for your project. Also knowledgable about much more than yarn, so great to talk to about events and Victoria.A must go for anyone visiting Victoria or living here, whether you are passionate of needlework or not, just a beautiful place to be!

Wonderful little spot in Trounce Alley, with a surprisingly robust inventory of embroidery supplies! I was able to find 14pt waste canvas here after striking out at several other sewing and craft shops in town, as well as some hard-to-find DMC thread colours. The staff are both charming and knowledgeable, and very accommodating when it comes to getting you what you need. I also found out they deliver! Will definitely be shopping here again for my future cross stitch projects.ETA: Having read the other reviews re: COVID masking, I'll add that I entered the store wearing a mask and didn't have any issues getting service (though I was the only customer in the store), and the owner (who served me) didn't comment on it at all. That was just my personal experience, however, and I don't believe the other reviews are invalid. Exercise discretion.

Looooove this store! We are not downtown often but when we are this is the absolute first store I go to. Each time!. They have a fantastic inventory and they always welcome me with a big, bright smile! I love the patterns they have in stock, beautiful books! Their yarn selection is wonderful and of excellent quality. I have knitted a few projects with their yarns already. Kim, the owner is such a sweetheart.

This is my favourite small shop in Victoria. I have been a patron for over 25 years and they have exquisite stock. The owner is attentive and helpful and has ordered special items for me from England. I could easily spend my entire fortune here, so be prepared. The location in Trounce Alley is quiet, and their selection of buttons and needlework supplies are the best in the city. Be sure to visit.

Owner was super helpful & friendly. I was looking for embroidery yarn but I'm a newbie (really only doing one project). He helped me sort through what I need for my project. And bonus, when I casually parked my bike outside without locking it, he suggested I bring it inside. How nice is that!? I was just being lazy about locking it. If you really must drive here, you can find meter parking nearby or parking at the Bay Centre.

Wonderful! Thank you for helping our little girls find a new hobby! Your patience and kind help towards them left us speechless. This is a wonderful business, beautiful and above all... the staff is kind and helpful, particularly with children! Thank you SO very much for making our weekend visit special.
