Shane Calkins Guitar Lessons

I highly recommend taking lessons with Shane. He takes time to remember all his students and has a really good sense of areas that would most improve your skilset. You can tell he cares seeing your improvement as he's often excited as you are once you nail something you've been working at together.

Shane is an awesome guitar teacher and a super nice guy. I’m really enjoying learning from him and very excited about the progress I’ve made. He takes the time to see what you’re really interested in, and helps you out with your own personal goals. I find every lesson to be super helpful, and I’m really happy with his balance between playing and theory. Theory with him has been great because it’s very well structured, and he’s created a lot of custom PDF files that demonstrate precisely what he is teaching (makes it really easy to understand). Also, the playing side of things has been really great too because he’s able to teach me my favourite songs, and we can jam together using what I’ve learned; which I find to be really helpful. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking to develop their skills as a guitar player!

Shane is a very knowledgeable guitar teacher. He is patient and has a very good instructional technique that works. As a older age beginner, he proved he can teach old dog tricks. I highly recommend Shane for your guitar teacher. Don’t waste your time learning on YouTube.

He takes the time to explain techniques and theory. In four years, I’ve progressed from a complete beginner into being able to play some of my favourite John Mayer songs! Shane is extremely knowledgeable. There is almost nothing he doesn’t know about music or guitar. What sets him apart is his ability to pass that knowledge on to others. Just because you are an amazing guitar player does not make you an amazing guitar teacher. Shane is both. And he will tailor his classes to your learning style
