Columbia River Paddle (Tours & Rentals)

We had a fantastic experience with Columbia River Paddle. They set us up with the equipment, a talk about the route through the river, and then we had a leisurely paddle for about 2.5 hours. If we had just let the current take us then it probably would have taken the full four hours described. The scenery was gorgeous, and we saw some great birds up close. Highly recommend this trip!

Max was a great instructor! His lesson was clear and easy to understand. My kids had a great 2-hour-kayaking with him. Max was funny and taught them a lot. Price was fair.

This is a great way to see the river and the wetlands. Their guide took us into areas that would not be advisable to people without local knowledge of the channels and water levels. The area is beautiful and the trip is great on a warm summer day. There was some wildlife - mostly birds - but not lots. Perhaps there would be more during spring and fall when the birds are migrating. Views are spectacular and varied throughout.

Great for rentals but even better for guided paddle tours! Highly reccomend these guys. Their staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Went on a lovely paddle down the river to Radium. Good equipment and helpful staff before we left. Took about 3 hours with a 30 break halfway

Excellent paddle today. Great service. Very nice staff. Super efficient pick up services. I only wish they had more mile markers so you knew how much further you had to go.

The trip was awesome but it did have a few hiccups that detracted from the experience and added quite a bit of stress at the end.The morning started at the counter when my kids said to me that they thought the woman at the desk was rude to us. I thought about it and realized they were onto something. The person at the desk warmed up a bit, but still didn't seem at anytime to enjoy our presence.At our safety briefing and trip overview, we could barely hear the person and they were not very communicative about the time marks that we would have to hit at the early landmarks. We only got time guidance at the last 2 landmarks.We took the Invermere to Radium “Lazy River” rental and did not have a guide which would have been fine except we were told over and over that we would have plenty" of time to relax

Our family of five did the wetland tour with a guide in a voyager. It was great. She pointed out stuff we would have missed and was highly knowledgeable! Highly recommend the guided tours to families with kids. My teenage son and I wanted more so we booked the DIY kayaking from Invermere to Radium. Very fun and peaceful lazy river paddle. Totally open to anyone as we had zero experience paddling. All the staff were very nice and explained everything. Great way to experience nature in Invermere!
