Dr. John Christakis has been my ophthalmologist ever since I was a child. Recently, I had visited his office due to an eye infection and was concerned that the infection did not clear up. Dr. Christakis assured me the eye infection had cleared up and all I had was dry eyes. Dr. Christakis took the time to explain what I can do for my condition. He is always professional and extremely knowledgeable and I highly trust him due to his extensive experience in ophthalmology. In addition, his staff members are wonderful and accommodating and run a well structured office. I feel blessed to have him as my ophthalmologist.Thank you Dr. John Christakis and staff. Keep up the great work.

I hate to give negative reviews but I think some things have to be said about medical professionals who refuse to adapt to modern technology. I have NO WAY of contacting this doctor. I was referred to see him by an optometrist. And the appointment provided was not convenient. So I called to cancel it and rebook - and got voice mail. Someone called me back the next day - while I was driving. She gave me an appointment a month down the road - which was great! But I was driving and asked her to confirm it via email. She said she could not do that, citing POLICY". She asked me to call back

This doctor couldn't be bothered to provide any suggestions or alternatives of eyecare exams nor support to a patient that is non-ambulatory and housebound. My 92 year old mother has been a patient for decades. My father too has been a patient. I called in, was put on hold and after 5 minutes spoke with the Office assistant explaining my mother's predicament. I asked if she could relay our concern in asking the doctor for his recommendation/protocol, suggestions he might have or could think of to help a person unable to leave their house to obtain an eye assessment. She's been taking the same eye drops since he prescribed them 4 years ago and we are unsure if she should continue taking them. The assistant called me back and the doctor response was this: She must come in for an eye exam"There aren't enough words to express my disappointment at how disgraceful a response I feel this was. Why do people become doctors if they simply don't care to help their patients. Would it kill him to pick up a phone

Good things are: very neat and clean place, nicely organized, adequate staffs, new and modern equipment. Doctor was very knowledgeable and friendly. Bad things are: staffs are very rude, not just 1 or 2, found 90% staffs are very rude to patients. The authority must teach them about better customer service. Getting appointment is very tough and if you miss one you have to wait at least 6 months to get another one. Never got a live person on phone.

I hate to leave negative reviews, This review is based on lack of punctuality with appointments. I am the primary caregiver for my father, a senior citizen with health issues like bowel problems. After taking time off work and dropping him off, I waited outside, I called from outside after 1 hour 12 min, I was told there are still couple of patients ahead of him. I take him to other appointments, sometimes few min of delays happen but if you are taking a senior patient in after 1.5 hours just to see him for 10 min, why give an appointment that early. Why do I have to give up my earning work hours for clinic’s lack of time management skill, specially this day and age in 2023 with so much technology and Artificial Intelligence tools in place. 15 min delay should be max. Having a sign saying “1-3 hours” is a wide range, trying to book in as many patients to make money in the expense of other’s time isn’t professional. Most patients are aged it seems, so they just smile and endure the pain but if you think this punctuality will be in this style for years to come, good luck with the next generation.

Welcoming place, and professional people, no long waiting list. The first time I went there I remember that Doctor Christakis make me feel comfortable. He was so nice and asking me questions about my island! And said he would like to visit once! That was 2 years!

Had laser surgery done here for both eyes to avoid angle closure glaucoma and they did a great job. Quick follow up appointment and I don’t have to see an eye doctor for another 2 years. Yay ! Done !

5th visit here. Amazing work. 100% to reception, assistants, and doctors. Can get in and out in half an hour.My longest wait was probably a bit past an hour in the past. It’s really key to get an early morning appointment to avoid waits.
