Wellesley Animal Hospital

We recently put our cat down, and I truly can't say enough good things about Wellesley Animal Hospital. From the very beginning, their primary focus was the well-being of our cat--when they couldn't fit him in right away, they listed many animal hospitals where we could take him, which we did. We ended up doing our follow-up appointment with them, which is where we made the difficult decision to put our cat down. DVM Tara was incredible--she was so gentle and understanding, taking the time to listen to stories about our little guy, and explaining the best course of action for us. The techs and support staff were also so wonderful, thank you Teal, Alan, Carissa, Kat, Franczeska, and the really lovely vet assistant who took our cat's vitals whose name I didn't catch (sorry). Your care in this difficult time really touched us, and we can't thank you enough for all you do. -Jane & Dan (& Ian)

I need to post a public review about this place because I honestly have not come across staff nicer than the people here. My emails are always answered so quickly, I have no issues getting appointments for my two cats, and everyone is so great with them when we go there. I came to Toronto with no idea where to find a new vet and I could not be happier with this place :) seriously some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced

This animal hospital is trying to make money by scheduling unnecessary physical exams during follow up vaccination appointment. The first exam was done less than a month from the date of the second appointment. I thought the second appointment would only be receiving vaccinations and I wasn’t informed there gonna be another assessment with the doctor. After receiving the bill, there was a line item of 94 dollars, they claimed it as their policy to perform doctor assessment for each visit, even if it is just a vaccine appointment.If you don’t want to be scammed by their policy of necessary doctor assessment, please stay away from this clinic.

Really knowledgeable and great team. My only critique is they no longer have a small animal vet so we had to find another vet. (Dr. Ma and Dr. Young were amazing, wish they never left). Vet techs were very helpful and very willing to work with my weird schedule.

Great Animal Hospital in downtown Toronto. Great installations and big jump from the small clinic on Wellesley St. Top professional and dedicated vets, RVTs and staff, lots of different dog and cat services available (including pet grooming), modern equipment and pet loving staff. Not much you can improve in it all. Congratulations.

I discovered Wellesley Animal Hospital while volunteering for a dog rescue who partnered with them. I was so impressed by the level of care, and attention to detail, that the Wellesley team provides, that I made the decision to switch vets.Since my dog has been a patient at Wellesley, she has had some health issues, that were thoroughly and carefully investigated. The medical team at Wellesley does a wonderful job of clearly communicating their concerns, and giving many options for treatment. Their staff are incredibly caring and knowledgeable, and absolutely wonderful with animals!I've also used their grooming services many times, and Fluffy Tails does not disappoint! They are so incredibly patient with my anxious pup, and she looks forward to seeing Mari & team every time!From the reception team, to animal care attendants, to techs, vets, groomers, and everyone in between, the staff at Wellesley Animal Hospital have become an extension of our family, and I trust them implicitly with the care of my precious pup! Thank you Wellesley for always providing such care and attention to Amy :)

Dr. Yu and Selene did such an excellent job taking care of my cat Chavo! He's usually so anxious at the vet, but they took time to make sure he felt comfortable and safe. We just went in for his annual checkup, but they were so thorough and made sure to explain exactly what they looked at and answered all my questions. We'll definitely be going back :)Edit: Selene was also super excited to share some pictures she took of Chavo being a very proud boy.

I have a senior cat who had been traumatized before we adopted her. We provide her with a safe and loving home and over the years she learned to trust us. However, when we take her to the vet, she gets stressed and won't let anyone touch her. Wellesley Animal Hospital is the only place they know how to handle her. They make all possible ways to comfort my cat and me and take very good care of her. Thank you for being so patient and understanding. I highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone, especially with special needs pets like mine.

My dog goes here for grooming services. Smooth service, great haircuts. Staff at the front is always friendly. Pricing is expensive though.

Front desk is always helpful, efficient and very friendly. All doctors and support stuff are incredible and always attentive. Helped us with all emergencies with our dog. Best vet clinic!
