Emmanuel United Church

A church ran by gay communities of the region. Beautiful architecture and lot of space inside. Lot of wooden work inside the church. Adding to that there is a non governmental organization inside the area where various programs like food bag program, Bridgeport cafe, ukelele classes, senior chair yoga, chair yoga.

At this location has more than a church building, the gift of giving shines. A cafeteria with a small donation table.They are kind hearted people who are dedicated to the people. During the day they provide a meal for the person in need. Once a week a few food items. I am glad that they are a part of the Waterloo community.

Good place for big get together... But summer it's pretty hot due to less cooling fan or air conditioning...

This church and its members are fantastic! They have gone above and beyond in assisting the less fortunate, or anybody really, who come during regular business hours, Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, (Doors open at 12:30), where a hot lunch is usually served. Take out only during lock-down mode, but you may go back in to warm up after eating. Also, the food hamper program happens every Thursday, which includes both canned goods and some fresh fruit and vegies, as well as toilettetries. They are very organized, so line-up times are quick. If you require clothing, boots, jackets etc, or household items, staff members are available to provide you with any of these necessities. Anyone interested in extra curricular activities, yoga classes are available every Wednesday at 4:00pm, in the Purple room and the music program was offered twice a week at 4:00pm as well (Both classes are available at no cost and to anyone with a williness to have fun while learning.Please Note: Classes may have been postponed due to unusual circumstances. This church is so community oriented and St. Louis school is proud to be partners offering ESL at this location.

Extremely welcoming. Persons of all backgrounds and orientations are celebrated. Also has a young adult group for students!

I ❣️ the services at EUC. It's an inclusive congregation where everyone is welcome. There are few churchy" expectations: dress is casual

Bridgeport Cafe open Tuesday to Friday 1230 til 430 (Fri 330). Snacks, coffee, drinks and meal is provided for the ones in need. Nice environment all is welcome. A small food hamper on Thursday afternoon

This church really puts an effort in helping the low income, homeless and many others by having a luncheon, market day, clothing room, day care, etc. They greet people with warmth and compassion and show them They are as worthy as anyone else
