FATHERS AND PARENTS BEWARE!!!Absolutely Horrible Experience with this Law firm .I have never been involved with the court system before in my life and I was going through a children’s custody case with this law firm .Everyone was telling me to document everything as far as the divorce and the relationship between myself and my ex , and so I had an 80 page document that I made with loads of proof against my ex and why I should have custody of my two small children . It had text messages from threatening me that I won’t ever see my kids again , emails showing how she was using the children as bargaining tools . Social media posts attacking me , and on on with things I documented .Well I INSISTED AND INSISTED that we use this evidence to show what has really been going on.I was repeatedly informed by my lawyer in this firm that all of the proof and records I had didn’t mean anything in court and that the judge was not interested in that stuff .He told me all the courts care about is if the children are being taken care of . And so when I had my children for my weeks I was with with 24/7. No brining them to daycare , no dropping them off with unreliable family members or strangers like my ex did whenever she had them .It was all me , I signed them up for sports and music and did so many fun activities with them .We went to court for our hearing and because my lawyer (Ray ) did not submit any of my evidence and documentation , and my ex submitted so much against me , the judge ONLY looked at what my ex had submitted which made me look so bad , the judge basically made the decision based on the relationship between my ex and I , and not based on what was best for the children , I lost custody of my children for no reason whatsoever. I felt completely let down by the Nova Scotia court system and by this law firm most important.To make things even worse ,After our hearing the judge told my lawyer (Ray) and my ex”s lawyer to work out a few of the remaining details regarding child support and a few other details .My ex’s lawyer ended up manipulating the calculators all in my ex’s favor, and putting horrible unnecessary wording in the final documents, I was supposed to sign it , but I didn’t not agree and I was told my my lawyer that I had to and that this is what we were going with , I told him I didn’t agree over and over and he did nothing to fix it ,There were so many bad experiences with this law firm ,On weeks I didn’t have my children I requested to have regular video chats with my children , I asked my lawyer over and over again to help me talk to my children , his response was that it was her week and she didn’t have to let me talk to my children , even though they are only 2 and 4 years old I had to go a week without seeing them or talking to them all because my lawyer didn’t care enough to do anything.On one occasion my ex posted something on social media putting me down and calling me names like , I sent a screenshot of that to my lawyer and he simple told me it was freedom of speech and she can do it .If you’re a FATHER or a PARENT trying to get what’s fair in a custody battle STAY CLEAR of this law firm , they will only hurt you .This has been my experience I hope others don’t have the same ,

Catastrophic service, constant delays, our lawyer ignored calls for days, and postponed 3-4 times on average, after receiving the money beforehand. Never ever again.

My experience was very similar to Hugh's. I ve been to court on 5 different occasions, now on my 6th so I am somewhat familiar with the process. My lawyer ( Ray) was by far the worst and most unprofessional and lacks basic knowledge of family court. I am reporting him to the bar society, I hope everyone else does as well. DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM! Multiple important and time sensitive matters were ignored/not responded to. One instance nearly cost me the sale of my house.

If you want your legal matter finished completely and in a timely matter, I suggest saving your money and going somewhere else
