Alley's Corner Variety

I used to like alleys on Franklin always had good service, but the last couple times going there we had terrible customer service. There is a middle aged man that has been working making slush puppies, acting like he hates his job and the customers, maybe having second thoughts about his career choice. Maybe serving customers in a corner store isn’t the job for him. I didn’t like the way myself and my grandchildren where snapped at and treated like an inconvenience as we where trying to enjoy our day out for a walk and stopped in for a slush puppy.

I use to go here everyday in high-school when I was attending nearly 4 years ago now. This small loca shop is always a good place to stop and get snacks. Before the pandemic they would have hot food available for lunch like hotdogs and pizza. Regardless of the stereotype of gas station food

I always try to give business to stores like this over big chain stores like macs. Yet I can see why that these places are becoming extinct. The people who work here always seem very rude and standoffish, great attitude if you want to retain loyal customers. The other night I decided to give them a try again, it was 10:40 pm and I guess the clerk decided she wanted to leave early so she was counting her til. I said hello and she said she had 2 minutes until closed and can't make this sale. What's funny is there was another customer is there as well. I had well over $20 dollars worth of merchandise, more than enough to pay her wages for the hour. If your closed at 10:40 pm and not 11:00 pm please indicate this on your store hours so others don't waste their time coming to you. Will no longer be making purchases here and will be spreading the word.

It's unfortunate I have to give a bad review, I've been a regular customer for years, moreso in recent months for vape cartridges, but it's clear to me they don't value their customers or their money. I went there to purchase my usual vape cartridge, they didnt have any in the usual spot and as I was going to go with a different flavour the employee cut me off and looked elsewhere, grabbing a pack I assumed was the one I asked for and checking me out.Walking through the snowstorm last week i opened it in my pocket, trusting i got what i purchased without looking. Turns out he gave me nicotine free. When I went to return it they wouldnt let me. I left the garbage pack there and bought another, but this is the last time they will be seeing my business. It's a shame to me that $13 is worth losing a regular customer to them.If anyone goes there for vape products DO NOT trust the staff, read the labels yourself. I'd recommend Nic.Fit on May st. instead, as they have cheaper products, actually care about their customers & fix mistakes when they make them.

Very rude owner and staff. Poor customer skills. Make mistakes on their products and then wont refund or replace for customers. Treat everyone like they are there to rob the place. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Nice locally owned store, not many left in the bay. Sure it's a little more expensive, but rather buy here then mac's. Shelves seem a little bear at times but will always have what you need.
