Korean Village Restaurant
Cozy homey ambience, with good variety of signature / traditional Korean dishes as well as hotpot combos for large parties. My favourite dish is their seafood pancake cuz it’s got a nice crispy crust and is a flavourful batter. The pork bone soup (gam ja tang) is hearty but is more heavily spiced/hot.The parking lot of this strip mall can get pretty packed. The prices of the dishes are slightly on the pricey side. The service can be pretty mediocre because maybe they were under-staffed and it was busy so it was difficult to ask them for water refills or to get scissors or napkins etc.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. The server told us if we order BBQ and like the kitchen to cook it, it will be very slow, so we ordered the raw meat and grilled by ourselves, even though it still super slow to get the raw meat. The seafood pancake doesn’t have much seafood in it. Other than that other foods were good.

One of my favorite Korean place in Calgary. My favorite is LA galbi and seafood pancake. Seafood pancake is crispy outside and soft inside, has a lot of seafood in it, really good.

It saddens me to write such a negative review about a restaurant I've frequented for 15 years. I was here for dinner, our waitress forgot one of our items and let us know, apologized for it and this was totally fine. We all make mistakes, and we were still enjoying our visit. In the last 30m that it took for us to get our last dish and finish it, I asked for water 3 times and never received it. It was 26 degrees that day and we had bbq so we were a bit hot. We asked nicely all 3 times. When the bill came, it was over $200 and we tipped under what we normally do cause we never got our cold water. We were stared down by the waitresses as we left and someone in our 3 person group had to explain it was because we never got cold water despite asking 3 times. I don't appreciate being judged for a small tip for bad service. I will just move on.

To me the service was better than food, but the food is really good too .Nethertheless food here is solid. To me all Korean food made by Koreans are the best. The owner, servers and everyone that works here are all wonderful people just needs a little bit of improvement on the food, but still a solid restaurant for Koreanfood. I think if I ever go back I will try there meats more. Maybe I can flare up on they're food next time

Ordered the black bean noodles which were very good. A bonus is that it is close to a Korean grocery store so you can pick up different items like gochujang paste after your meal.

Korean Village Restaurant
It’s definitely my favorite Korean restaurant in Calgary. This restaurant has been there forever. Love the food, if I don’t want BBQ, I usually have gamja tang (pork bone soup), stir fried squid pork belly and veggies, or grilled mackerel and miso stew.I know the service can be slow but I don’t mind, worth the wait.

Finally found the best Korean restaurant in the city. Ordered the spicy squid bibimbap and was not disappointed at all. The seafood pancake was the best I had so far in the city. It is huge and has the perfect crunch. They also serve barley tea(which is hard to get by). Amazing food, amazing service. This was definitely worth it.

Real authentic Korean food, if you want the real deal, come here. Other places serve Korean" corn dogs and other "Korean street foods" but not here.We had the mushroom and beef hot pot which was excellent though it would've been nice to have more beef for how large the hotpot is. The bibimbap is also always great
