Metcap - Westwood Abbey Apartments

Finally leaving after 6 years. Been through at least 3 or 4 changes of staff and one change in overall building ownership/management (Q Residential to MetCap) in that time. When I first moved in June of 2015, went entire summer unable to open back door for breeze due to having cats and being without either a fence (ground floor) or screen door. Didn't GET a screen door until following spring after at least 5 work order requests. Pool has been closed for what seems like forever, at least 3 1/2 years at this point. First closed late spring/early summer of 2019 (before COVID). Rent and work orders now have to be done via online portal, and they charge a $15 convenience fee" for said online payments. Overrun with roaches

Always problems this building

Management sucks. So bad.

Avoid it like the plague.

Poorly maintained and unsuitable for ordinary working class.

Not so helpful management/staff - except few.Not too clean at times.Elevator doesn't always work.Not enough security cameras or guard.

7170 Darcel Ave. I see reviews. The current reviews. I get that. I grew up there. Trust me when I say it’s a lot better than it used to be in the 80s. You guys are living in Mississauga. You have a pool you have a balcony.. I’m pretty sure the dead halls are over with.. The superintendent is not high and chasing you down the hallways anymore.. I’m sure. I doubt anyone is pulling a knife out of their turban.. And threatening to kill you while you are going to the lobby to check your mail. Lock your doors. Front and back. And don’t Google what the apartments were before 1980.

Management is not helpful in any - not serviceable or willing to address concerns. Very stereotypically judged and very disrespectful. I would not even give any star had it not been automatically rated as star.
