Horrible vet office.They were on call and I had a dog emergency and I called them.They never called me back.Thank God my dog was ok eventually.Be aware people these type of vets ignore emergencies when on call ( other places do it too) and you may lose your pet if they ignore the calls or not want to see your animal. It has happened before to animals because of this type of negligence.Black Road is the one who is always there whether emergency or just as a client. Kudos to the best service they are.I intend to file a formal complaint with the OVC. And if it's ignored I will go as high as I can go with concern and complaint.No animal should die because of an incompetent vet.

I’ve been to this vet 3 times in the last 3 months for my puppy and cats. I’ve had Dr Porru twice and Dr Bridges once. I can easily say that Dr Porru really doesn’t show much compassion or personality when she is in the room. She spent maybe 5 min in the room with my puppy for the exam and giving her the shot.The last time I was in, we saw Dr Bridges and actually felt like she examined my puppy, answered my questions, asked me questions about my puppy’s wellbeing. It’s like Dr Porru didn’t even look at my pup’s chart before coming in. She also just had a scrap paper with tons of other patients’ information that could easily get mixed up.Just really hoping my next trip to the vet doesn’t involve her. It’s not a good feeeling for me, or my puppy when someone is like that. Just curt and borderline rude.Not a fan.

Worst experience of my entire life. I had a very hard decision to make ALONE inregards to my cat. We brought him in and I clearly stated what I wanted done and to be clear of the results same day. They didn't fulfill what I asked for even though I had called twice to confirm. I was shamed for my decision I was left alone and no instructions on the procedure, the vet came in did what she was asked too, but has zero remourse for me, no I'm sorry" no sympathy. I felt I inconvenienced them for staying past close as I was crying like a baby

If I could give negative stars I would!Not impressed with the New Vet Dr Porru, not friendly at all or show any compassion. She is out for the money only so be aware! I guess the proof is in the pudding when the ENTIRE STAFF QUIT! I always loved going to the clinic, it was a place of compassion and understanding, I feel so sad for Dr Poitras who was a wonderful caring vet who built his practice out of nothing only to have this person come in and destroy it. They are price gouging and now watch your prescriptions increase in price as they have added a $15 dispensing fee on top of your prescription without disclosing that this is being done. No letters to advise the patients of the new structure and no apologies, only an excuse and pitiful attempt to sully Dr P’s good name by saying they were not doing things right, shows me what kind of people we now have running the clinic. When confronted about the price increase, the Dr started that gas is no longer at $.69 anymore and things go up! Yes they do, but not like this without a warning. I am so disgusted right now that I cannot hold this to myself. If this post gets blocked keep in mind that I will also be sharing this to google and anywhere else that I can find to post this review. I do not normally leave this kind of rating, but I need to warn others.My mother has a dog that has Glaucoma and has already lost one eye and is blind in the other, her pharmacy called to get his medication refilled as she lives over an hour away and he is on this medication for life. Because he is blind he does not travel well, yet 3 days later she is still waiting for the vet to approve the prescription. She called the clinic today and was told that she needs 24-48 hours to have a script filled, when she said the pharmacy called in 3 days ago, the reception said that the vet sees patients in clinic first. Very rude, although my Mom was being nice cause she needs this meds for him or he suffers. This vet is beyond cruel. I want to find out who the corporate entity is that owns it now but that is difficult to do as it is not posted anywhere on their site. Go anywhere else but here, I know that vets are hard to find, but if you care for your pet you will stay away from this one! It is just disgusting how she treats her patients, as it is the animals that are suffering for her lack of compassion and money grabbing!

They are very friendly and care deeply for the pets under their care.

Was able to take us on to look after our doggo when we were ready to look outside of The Soo (thank you to whoever on reception took our call). Impressed with Dr. Porru, we could tell she loves animals and had our pet's health in her best interest. We're now getting him some much-needed attention that got neglected during lockdowns and while we couldn't find a vet after moving here a couple of years ago from the GTHA.

In April, our one cat found a balloon and ate it. Tilley Road took us in and was exceptional! Great service from the team at the front desk. They did everything they could to help our cat pass the balloon on his own. They saved us the cost of a major surgery. From August to October we knew something was wrong with our other cat and the Animal Hospital continually accommodated us with quickly scheduling clinic visits. Dr. Porru was honest with us about our cat’s prognosis being poor but left the end of life decisions to us. We have noticed that sometimes the doctor can come off a bit stoic but we could tell that she had compassion for our family as we made the difficult decision to put our cat down. We think she was even sad for the situation. We were very grateful to the staff for not rushing us out the door, as we arrived very close to closing time, rather they didn’t bother us and we were given an extra 5-10 minutes past closing while we said goodbye to our little girl. We trust Dr. Porru’s assessment of our animals and are grateful for her service to the community.

My pup had a round worm he threw up in car. I went to Animal hospital right away. They listen had lots of patients and took a look at him, got medication for him. Made an app. for his next visit. Yes his first visit at his vet.They were fantastic with him.Very happy.

Dr. Ersilia Porru is great. She has impressed me both times I have been there with Loki and Luna. I appreciate the quality of care she was able to provide, and me and my boyfriend are happy with the services provided.
