Adelaide Barks Dog Daycare and Boarding

Our dog Hank went with his big sister Sophie to Adelaide Barks for the first time the other week. He had a grest time there and meeting other dogs.Sophie has been going for years. She always loves hanging out with the staff and her dog friends.

My dog has stayed with Adelaide Barks twice, and overall, I enjoy the concept. It has been great for having my dog entertained and watched when I am away for work. However, I think the staff could use a class or two in dog grooming and handling. They refused to provide grooming services to my cocker spaniel/poodle because he snapped at one of the staff when she went to pick him up for his bath. This was really upsetting because they have been told in the past that my dog gets scared when he is picked up by strangers. Trained groomers know tricks or use mussels to pick up nippy dogs, and this is the only time I have been refused a service over this issue. I advice Adelaide Bark not to offer services they cannot provide, and also to be a little more confident when handling dogs.

A decent spot to come and drop off your pet. B the facility is clean and the staff were friendly. Located just north of London on Highbury it is also very convenient.To pay they accept cash and cards. Lots of parking and the pets life their time there.#localguides

I have brought my 3 year old Australian Shepherd named Dermot to Adelaide Barks for both grooming and boarding. Terri is super friendly and clearly invested in the care of the dogs that stay there. My dog was terrified of the blow dryer. I told Terri that I would prefer Allie focus on taking it slow, giving rewards, and helping him have a good experience. I told them I'd start working on positive reward training at home with him with my hair dryer to try to help this too. They weren't able to get him fully dry his first stay which was okay -- again, I appreciated that they were willing to work with us on it! The next time I took Dermot, he was caked in a really thick mud (almost tar-like) from getting into a family member's pond. I could not get it out of his fur! Allie had to give him two baths worth, really comb it out, and take the blow drying reaaally slowly but somehow she managed to get it done and he looked amazing! I was so grateful that she was again willing to take the time to help us despite the added challenge of Dermot's fear. I was surprised when they didn't charge more than the original price despite the extra time she had to take with him. Although they may not be as flexible/available as other kennels for boarding/weekend daycare, I love that it is a mostly family operated business and can sense the pride they take in giving the dogs amazing care!

Really appreciated the love and care Barks Pet Resort gave my dog while out of town! Being a dog with several special needs, I don't like to leave my pet behind, BUT Barks really blew me away at how prepared and willing they were to care of him. They also sent me a text while away with a picture of my dog enjoying their facilities, which was nice. Definitely would use their services again and recommend them!

If I could give more stars, I would! Five doesn’t seem like enough when it comes to Adelaide Barks. Your dog will never enjoy a better doggy daycare, kennel or grooming than in the care of Teri and Allie. They are true canine experts with a clear passion for what they do and an evident love for animals. The team observes each dog keenly, recognizing their unique characteristics and needs, and caring for them as they would their own. Our Woofie met his second family when he started going to the daycare - it’s a true home-away-from-home for our special pets.

This is a family run business and my dog is excited to be there. I have lots of friends who take their dogs there as well and have heard no complaints. Highly recommend

Sadie LOVES coming here every week! As soon as we pass the cheese place on our way she starts getting excited to go and play with her friends! She always comes home exhausted and it lasts through the week. We are are forever grateful for that haha. Thank you for being such a great place and a positive atmosphere for our dog! <3

My puppy loves it there. Terri seems to be very in touch with the interests and needs of our fur babies. Caring and responsive service.Only disadvantage is that the service is very limited to every other day of puppy day care during the weekdays and no drop off or pick on weekends or non daycare days when boarding makes for longer and more expensive stays when boarding. :(
