It took me a couple of weeks to find an appointment. I thought appointments will be addressed and finish on time, but was i being delusional. Forget about the long waiting lines outside BLS, there is another waiting line upstairs at the BLS office of the people that already have an appointment. Their website is so out of date, the forms are old and are made in a way to grab more money out of people.The forms are uneditable by the employees (is this 2000s?), soon enough i found the reason why. The reason being so they could charge an additional $30/form to refill.Instead of a 10 minute appointment, it took me over 90 minutes in the BLS. I am so disappointed and ashamed in our Indian system.

For future applicants:1) No matter how good your pic is . They will have you get your pics clicked there and add additional $30 lol2) please don’t ask the persons name who is collecting your documents because I was told that telling their name is against their policy lol3) make sure you check the receipts . I was provided wrong receipt but later she found and gave me the right receipt.4) don’t blindly follow the official template provided in the official BLS website because there they didn’t mention emergency contact address but in person they made me fill up again.5) make sure they don’t add parcel drop off service, if you don’t need one. If you live nearby, kindly opt for pick up service which is free.

Very long lines!! Must come early to wait in line as they only take a certain amount of walk-ins as there is also appointment books for this service.The staff inside are very kind and helpful. But make sure you have all your documents and forms filled out correctly or you will have to come back and wait in line again.We lined up two days in a row and waited about 6-8 hrs each day and finally got in on the second day. They will take your passport to print the visa in so make sure you don’t have to travel internationally 4-6 after you send it in.
