Gave them a call and was impressed with the prompt reply.DJ is very knowledgeable about the masonry profession, and aims to please. He answered all my questions, and I was very satisfied with the workmanship. Price was fair and the work was done on time. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again if necessary.

DJ was very good to deal with; he made time to explain everything he was going to do to complete my chimney rebuild and liner install project. As such, there were no surprises as the project was completed and everything was done on a reasonable schedule to ensure timely completion while not jeopardizing the integrity of the chimney rebuild by rushing. I originally contacted DJ as I thought I had to tear down my chimney and build a new one. $$$ (Broken bricks, cracked mortar, leaks, etc). He was very helpful in hearing about my issues and discussing alternative measures to solve my problem.He came by the house and took a look and gave me a call. DJ is very enthusiastic about his work and might come across a bit more passionate than you would expect, but he laid out a plan of what he would do and we agreed. He summarized his labour costs and materials cost in his estimate and it made sense.DJ will wait for the right day (weather) to do the work so that his materials have the right conditions to cure. He did the cracked brick removal one day - and was a few days waiting for a warmer day to do the brick laying/replacing/mortar. (January in NS) I let him judge when to come and finish - and found him doing the final cleaning / stone sanding / treatment in the freezing rain. He is a dedicated fellow.DJ did an excellent job and the chimney looks completely restored at a third of the cost it could have been to completely rebuild. I would have him back if/when I had further brick work or foundation work - cause it looks great.

Not only was D.J the only company to get back to me quickly, he was very helpful with lots of knowledge. He called by for a look on a day the everyone else was closed. I highly recommend this man and his company..

DJ at Pro Chimney Services did a fantastic job on our chimney repair. He gave us a fair quote, started promptly, and always kept us up to date on how the repair was going. He would explain his approach, and often sent pictures via email to show his progress. He went above and beyond to make sure the finished product looked brand new. We were experiencing some leaky chimney issues during a recent rain/wind storm and DJ took time out of his evening to walk us through different troubleshooting options over the phone. With his help, we no longer have any water leaking from our chimney and he even gave recommendations for some diy projects to protect our chimney until we can have it properly serviced in the spring. He did all of this on his own time and our chimney and surrounding areas has been bone dry ever since. HIGHLY recommend contacting DJ with your chimney concerns! I don't usually rate things on the internet but I'm making a point to do it for Dj because he deserves it. I recently had a liner system put into my chimney and felt very confident in allowing him to do it. He will take the time to explain what needs to happen and why. You can tell he has many years of experience. Him and his crew were very friendly, respectfull and curteous to me and my family through the whole process. I strongly recommend pro chimney services.

DJ did a great job in re-pointing my chimney that was leaking down onto my ceiling below. He ground out all the mortar and replaced the damaged bricks and poured a new cap. He also preformed some additional masonry work for me while he was onsite at no charge. He was very knowledgeable and experienced in the masonry trade and I would recommend him for any masonry or chimney work. In fact he is going to start on my neighbors chimney in the next month.Mike

Pro Chimney Services repaired the chimney at my rental property. I was calling around Halifax getting a few quotes - some suggested tearing down the whole thing and rebuilding for $15000 or so. DJ at Pro Chimney suggested I repoint/repair instead and I went with that. The chimney looks great and I saved more than $10,000.He kept me up to date while working and the communication helped me feel confident about the job. DJ is a straight talker and I appreciated that. As a result of the grinding and such some of my tenant's cars got dusty. DJ washed them after his work day, and did a good job of cleaning up around the building after the job was done.The chimney was repaired in a thorough manner. I could not find any gaps in the brick from bottom to top.Overall I was very pleased with Pro Chimney's work. I would recommend this company to anyone needing chimney repair.
