Capstone Engineering Academy

Capstone Engineering Academy works hard to make STEM education available to everyone. There are times when they have to rely on volenteers to handle certain tasks like judging events like Desinathon at the 2023 Calagary Maker Faire.Now I can't comment on whether the judges understood the full scope of the criteria for the event but I am sure they did their best. One of the reasons they do this is so there isn't any unfair bias from CEA that would give the impression of favoritism.I am sorry that they didn't meet your expectations for your project. I do hope that you will consider attending the Calgary Maker Faire and continuing your journey in Science Technology Enginering and Mathematics.

Really delighted with Capstone‘s approach to teaching. Interesting and exciting experiments to get kids interested in STEM. An excellent way for kids to spend their time and definitely great value!

My team joined Maker Fair on the weekend. Following the rules set by the organizer, we spend two full days on our project and finished. When it comes to the judge section, we are astonished that the judges didn't make their decision based on the rule they announced before. They just said our project failed the contest without giving any convincing reason. Besides, one of the judge declared himself as an electrician but he insist he is right about that the black is positive? I am strongly doubting how they could deliver the correct knowledge in their STEM class program.It is a big waste of time for being there.If possible, I would give negative points for what we have suffered from all of this.

Very excited when first went to Maker Fair but was so disappointed at last. The judges show ignorance, arrogance, and non-professionalism. Wondering how could capstone make its way to give STEM programs to those schools, and how could the students learn from teachers like these?Definitely a huge waste of time to do anything related to Capstone.
