Lux Windows & Doors

Lux replaced our doors - 3 of them, in January. It was a great experience from the ordering through to installation. Love the doors and the installers spent extra time to ensure the fit was perfect. Highly recommend working with Lux!

We are a local window and Door Installation contractor in the Edmonton and Area. Using Lux Windows and Doors as our main provider of products is a smart choice for us. Windows in our Industry can be comparable with many of the local Manufactures but the Doors are well above any we have Installed. Support Staff also follow through and Make everything seamless.

Very unhappy with my experience with Lux.One year after moving into our brand new home and we have had issues with our patio door and front door. The patio door seam split open, there was rust on all the hinges, our lock froze shut, and mold in the seams of our patio door. Lux came in and assessed everything. Their crew right away said the product must have failed and said our patio door and front hinges would be replaced. They then came back a second time under the guise of doing measurements and checking if the door was level. While in the house, they also checked the humidity by the patio door. I can’t now remember the number, but they said it was high. Now keep in mind it had been raining, it was early September and we have dog who is constantly in and out of the house. The measurement was only taken at the back door. Anyway, they left and within a day, we then received an email indicating the issue was NOT their product but due to high humidity. We were extremely unhappy that they came into our house for false reasons and in one short visit on a rainy day in early September, effectively told us we were the problem.A couple of things:Higher humidity is only a factor in the winter months when condensation can cause issues if not controlled. We have a multitude of windows in our home and no window coverings on the doors. Had we been remiss in keeping the humidity down, the damage to our home would be far more extensive. The only issue we have seen are the front and patio doors. The windows had condensation at times and it was controlled using the HVAC and wiping them down. Lux was informed of this.The patio door seam was split on the exterior not the interior. We also have two patio doors in the same spot being exposed to the same conditions. One is splitting at the seams and has mold; and the other door is fine. There is no water damage on the bottom of the patio door even though it's made from particle board and hollow. (As an aside, we were quite shocked to see the bottom of the doors. They aren't even sealed.)Finally, hinges should not rust out.Anyway, I sent Lux an email and received a call back from their manager Laurie. Laurie listened and then fessed up that it was hard to tell what the issue really was. He said it could be due to product failure, humidity or installation. He told me he would follow up with an email so that we could find a date where he would personally come to the house to have a look. An Email was sent by him and I replied right away. Nothing. I followed up a week later. Nothing. Well,,,it has been months and nothing has happened.It doesn’t leave us, the homeowners, in a good space when Lux tells us it’s a product issue and then sends us a decision email/letter indicating the issue is all due to humidity with tips on how we can control it. The crew first thought it was product and Laurie, the manager, who could not be bothered to follow through, went straight to blaming the customer. They were extremely quick to wash their hands of the situation based mostly on assumptions and very little information. Had they wanted to uphold their reputation of caring service"

Had a manufacturing issue with one of the windows in my order. Took some time, but the incorrect glass installation from manufacturing was resolved in less than an hour on-site. The installers were very courteous and professional, and when I arrived on site, I found them cleaning my windows while they were waiting. Very impressed! I will be calling Lux in Edmonton when we’re are ready to replace the remaining windows in our home.

100% fully satisfied with the windows and insulation along with the great customer service of both Edm & Cgy locations. GM @ Edmonton location went the extra mile. Good work for once in this world on Customer Service!

After receiving quotes from other companies, we decided to go with Lux Windows & Doors because of the extensive product choice offered, the reasonable and transparent pricing, and the genuine and knowledgable expertise offered by our sales representative Todd Adams. The door was ordered and came in a reasonable time frame. The installation, completed by Steve, was impeccable. We were replacing two exterior doors and wanted something more unique for the entry door and after getting some quotes from different suppliers we went with Lux. From our first visit to the showroom all the people we have dealt with have been great and provided a lot of good information with no pressure. We were very impressed with the quality of their products.We were concerned about the installation process as we have had friends with some issues with other window and door companies, Todd assured us the installers Lux has were a select few and maintain a high standard.Steve and Morgan who came to do the install were top notch and performed a quality installation. Steve also came to the house after our choices were made with Todd to verify measurements and make sure the products would fit properly.Our sale rep Todd was excellent to deal with and when one door was not delivered as ordered Holly was prompt in getting the correct one reordered and delivered quickly.Everyone who sees the new front door thinks the colour and style are fantastic and gives the house a updated look. We would highly recommend Lux windows and doors.

We are so happy with Lux Windows and the entire team who did our window replacement. We made a big investment and did all the windows in our home along with an exterior door. The service from Lux from the point of contact, sales rep (Todd Adams), Office contact (Holly Hall) and the installation team (Platinum Construction Ltd) made every commitment on-time and on budget. We cannot stress how important it was to have great communication and a team of people who respected our home and answered every question we had. We could not believe how easy the installation was on us in the middle of January. The Platinum crew worked like a well oiled machine, and cleaned up at the end of day. Everything from start to finish was the way they said it would be - on-time, on-budget and worry free for us. Thank you to Lux and Platinum Construction for a great experience.

We had all of our windows replaced in the summer by Lux. I am so pleased by the end result, and also had a great experience working with Lux. The sales rep we worked with was Todd, and he was very straightforward, right from the initial meeting. No sales tactics, just presenting his (very good) product. When we had questions, ideas or wanted to make changes, Todd provided his advice given his experience in the field and worked with us to arrive at a plan we were happy with.Our installation crew was Chris and Christy and their team of sons. It was a pleasure having them in our home, and they did a great job installing the windows. They left us with some good tips about taking care of the windows, and we were very pleased with the professional job they did. I felt the windows were done right, which was a huge thing for me.Now, part way through winter with many days of below -30 behind us, I am very happy with the quality of our windows. We have had no ice on the windows. Previously our entire window would ice up every winter, so it's awesome to see the difference!In summary, after interviewing 6 different window companies, I am so glad we chose Lux. The sales experience, the installation and the quality of the windows were all excellent.
