Water Babies
Posting here because though we were impressed with the Water Babies teaching style, their business practices are bordering on unethical, and from a customer service perspective, they were excruciating to deal with and disrespectful of our time. After 8 lessons, hoping my daughter would warm up to the water babies style of swimming lessons, I had to remove her from the pool due to hyperventilation. At this time, we notified them we wouldn't be attending any more classes. As I know they have waiting lists for their lessons, I came to them with three suggestions:A) get a refund for the 5 remaining classes paid in full (their billing cycles are predatory, requiring you to cancel 5 weeks in advance to not end up overpaying, no matter the reason).B) receive a credit to use at a later time, even if it's a year from nowC) transfer our 5 lessons to another family in the neighbourhood that we know would have taken our spot.Water Babies responded by having their Aquatics Instructor call us and lecture us on exposure" and question our decision to remove our child from the lesson when we did (Why did it take 3 months of lessons and our cancelation for them to offer this form of "support?")I then waited 17 days to hear from Water Babies again

My baby and I signed up for swim classes at the Kensington Community School-401 College Street, but we will not be coming back due to the lack of accesibility and inadequate changing facilities for babies. It's unfortunate because the swimming instructors are nice and very professional.

My daughter started going to Water Babies when she was 6 months old. It has been an incredible experience for her. Not only does she get to learn swimming she also has an excellent environment to engage with babies of her age and develop understanding for team work and encouragement from a very young age.The instructor Ki makes all the kids super comfortable and treats every one of them with so much affection. My daughter has already become so familiar and attached with him only because of his friendly and comforting nature.Highly recommended if you want your babies to get into a new activity that has so many learning aspects.

Teachers and coaches were good! HOWEVER, the administration and business style were VERY VERY unsatisfactory. They have VERY not flexible schedule!Planning to postpone a month’s course due to family’s unexpected situation (we did not even ask for the refund), however, they could not adjust our schedule. Although we have been with water babies for about a year, due to their admin and logistic issue this time, instead of comeback after the month of absence, we would prefer not comeback any more.Their strategy and response will hurt and lose more customer like this way, rather than indeed care and empathy their customers and build a long-term relationship with their customers.
