Dodds Garage Door Systems

Update: The company reached out and sent an installer to address the issue.We are very disappointed with Dodds' after sales services. Our garage door was installed back in December. Soon after we noticed the top panel was not completely vertical and slanted inward. I'd expect that with an old garage door but not a brand new one. Since they were coming back to do the capping, we thought we'd ask them to take a look then instead of bothering them and asking someone to come right away. The capping was supposed to happen within a few weeks but we understand it was weather dependent. Eventually they came in April to finish the capping. We inquired about the slant and the worker said we just had to call Dodds as he was just the capping guy and it can be adjusted which was consistently with our expectations. We called Dodds, was told to email a photo. We sent the email, no reply so followed up 2 days later, still no reply so followed up another 4 days later. They finally replied and said they passed on the info to the manufacturer and will let us know when they hear back. That was almost 3 weeks ago. We did our own research and reached out to another garage company who provided tips for free and my husband was able to adjust a few things and it's much more straight now. They could've easily sent someone to take a look and assess whether it was an installation or manufacturer issue. So yeah, door was nice looking but if you have problems after installation, not much help there.

Update: company is now saying that we had agreed to a another style of window inserts. That is news to me as we have received no correspondence from them!!Terrible experience. My mom had ordered a garage door. Installer rescheduled several times, and was several hours late on more than one occasion. She received the incorrect window inserts, but her concerns were quickly brushed off saying that it’s an easy fix. Over half a year later, we are still waiting for it to be corrected. We are now told that the inserts are discontinued and were discontinued at time of purchase. We are told that they will contact the manufacturer and email us with available options. I have received no follow up at all since. If you want to receive what you ordered, do not go with this company.

Wow! Dodds sent someone out to fix our commercial garage door in under 2 hours. Call out fee was half of the last person we used. Great and fast service. Thank you.

The customer service so far has been a breath of fresh air. I have done customer service roles over 25yrs, and this service has been great. From the fast reply from the informative website, to a quick email response. Then, you better sit down for this... I called, and got a real person. Tasha was my initial contact with this company. She was outstanding. She was professional yet relateably comfortable. She was an exemplary ambassador for this company, or any company of her choosing. She has set a standard for others to learn from. If it wasn't for her attention to the job at hand and the customers need, I would not have an appointment coming up. Thank you Tasha, you made a stressful time bareble.Update, Sales Guy Mike was curtious and sent a message letting me know he could be here earlier then the scheduled time. Wow. He showed up ,was helpful, friendly, knew what he was doing and you could tell this guy enjoys what he does truely". What a pleasure."

Chris found and fixed the problem quickly, also pointed out the chain wasn’t assembled probably, fixed that too , oilfield the door it works great now, Chris is very pleasant to work with and is a credit to the company, wouldn’t hesitate to use Dodds again

Chris diagnosed multiple problems with the garage door opener and repaired them quickly. The door operates smoothly, quietly, and moves faster than before. Great job!

This is the second time I have used Dodds and was thrilled about their service. Matthew was a true pro and fixed our problem in under 30 minutes. Highly recommend this company and Matthew!

I give Chris Kudla aGreat Big '10'. He was very courteous, knowledgeable answering all my questions about the replacement and made sure the door was working perfectly before he left. He is a very hard working great employee as I saw.

I called Dodds for a residential garage door that was not opening. A home inspector, a handyman and a contractor told that something is wrong with the door opener and you need to call technician. I called several which I found online for a quote and finally called Dodds.Some one named Annet or similar at the customer service told me to check something at the door while on phone and yes, it worked. They saved me a service call. This is what service is all about even though I was not a customer for them. But I will definitely go back to them if I need a future service and would definitely recommend them.
