Although the staff is friendly it really is a useless place. All visits can and should be done in central Edmonton or at the actual Edmonton Remand Center. We no longer can deposit money into inmate accounts at Center 170; this needs to be done at ERC & any CIBC bank. 50+ phone stations are not needed such a waste. 4 employees 2 at front desk and 2 in the actual visitation monitoring the visit. No drinking of any liquid...absolutely not necessary to have this silly rule.

Hard place to find was almost late for first visitation not realizing that this place is in the back of the building ..no signage to tell u where to go .... but besides that overall get experience 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This professional building is kept clean and the staff are courteous, kind, knowledgeable and professional. I was lost in the building which it seemed was on lockdown and a staff member helped me and even allowed me to go through an area that would be normally off limits just to acomedate me and help me get to where I had been trying to get to.

Google maps brought us to the wrong side of the building which resulted in a few mins of confusion before we found the right door. Staff were very polite and helpful. They have lockers to keep your stuff in during your visit. Would rate 5 stars if they put in a kiosk to deposit money in an inmates account again. Other than that very satisfied with my experience. A little out of the way if taking transit as well but not much can be done about that.

It was my first time ever going here. The outside looks ominous, but the inside has a modern feel. Staff took the time to teach me how to use the machine and explain a bit about what the processes are for money transfers and visitation. Kind of weird to have cameras everywhere, even at the till. However, they are excellent at customer service.

Staff is always so nice and helpful especially if you are rushing into your visitation and always help if the camera is blurry I have come here for years and have always been treated with respect and awesome people .
