Fishkeeper Dunfermline

I've dealt with the store in numerous occasions over the last year, most recently with Kaine who won't remember my first visit but I had a step-daughter with me who love Kaines hair, it would not normally comment. Kaine made her feel so comfortable that she did comment! Kaine has since helped me with a purchase and care advice for a Betta, as well as other additions to my main tank. Other particular shout outs to Kayleigh, Rebecca and James! There's also a maleber of staff, bleached hair and glasses, can't remember his name, but also fantastic to deal with.

This is a fantastic shop, although it would serve the public better if they had more staff on at the weekend as it can get rather busy and it can be sometime before you get to speak to the shop keeper, the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, lots of choice with a variety of fish and stock, ample parking and it's inside the Dobbies store so plenty to see, it's also based in a retail park so plenty shops, hotels and restaurants around

Great selection of both pond fish and aquarium fish. Also a great choice of both real and artificial plants etc.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Went in yestarday to show my daughters the fish. My wife and eldest daughter went to go out the back to see the larger fish. There was an A4 printed sign saying 'closed for winter' with pictures fish on it. No 'do not enter' etc.The sign made it look like the fish were closed/gone not the whole outside area which the doors were not locked to or any type of blockade put up.My wife and daughter went trough the door whilst chatting and laughing so never noticed the small sign, they then noticed there wasnt really anything outside so came back in where a staff member with a beard appeared and said 'it says closed can you not read no' to my dyslexic wife and daughter.Im only writing this here and will be following up with an email as the course of action i would rather take (and still surprised i never) isnt as civilised and not how my daughter needs to see me react.This is a DISGUSTING way to speak to anyone especially when you work in a shop which you FULLY represent when you are working.Very very unlikely i will step foot near this shop again nor will i be recommending it to anyone. I personally know several pet shop and exotic animal shop owners and i will also be asking them not to recommend this shop to any of their customers.

Lots of pond / tropical and marine fish to buy aswell as tanks and accessories , extremely knowledgeable staff and a decent rewards scheme of you sign up.

Really friendly and helpful staff and a really well stocked shop ! I will make this my regular for aquatics even though it's a bit further from me than the others. Loved the price signage for the aquarium rock too !

Visited the shop a few weeks ago to seek advice about a tank upgrade. As we are just beginners we sought out a member of staff to help. The staff member that we spoke (guy with tattoos and ponytail) to wasn't helpful at all, he was very dismissive and offered no help or advice at all, he was very arrogant and appeared to look down his nose at me. Working in customer service myself, I was disgusted by his treatment, so much so I promptly left the store without making a purchase.A few days later I visited another store and purchased a new set up costing over £800. A sale that I was planning to make at this store had I received the treatment I should have.I will only return if I absolutely need to.

So I have used this store a few times mainly because there is a lack of shops. I see I am not the only one who thinks the guys with the beard, tattoos and long hair is extremely rude and ignorant.You claim to pass on customer feed back but judging by the negative comments the guy concerned is still the same.Like someone else I decided to buy my aquarium elsewhere they lost out on £1200 of my custume because of this one guys bad attitude .It's a shame as most of us who use Dunfermline store don't have much of a choice.

The girl that served me, (sorry I don't know her name, but she had fabby coloured hair), was excellent, brilliant knowledge of wildlife ponds, really helpful and nice, amazing customer service.This was a welcome experience, because I have had some very rude, unhelpful experiences in store previously.
