This was one of the worst apple picking experiences I have ever had. My family and I have a day each year where we go apple picking, get pumpkin pie and enjoy a fall day. We decided to try applevale this yearFrom the moment we arrived the staff were rude, discriminatory and condescending. They made the assumption that we could not afford their $40 minimum rule, without kindly informing us this rule existed to begin with.Additionally, the apples are hard to distinguish, and we noticed about half way through the pear orchard that a man on what looked like a golf cart was yelling “get out of my orchard” at a brown family. We continued assuming that the family broke some rules and were likely deserving of the commotion but were now even more disturbed by the customer treatment. Then around 10 minutes later while we were walking through the barn orchard the same man (on the cart) came up to half our group and told us the bag we had was not for entry in the orchard. He was accusatory and rude and we explained that the other half of our party had a big bag but this is what we were soldHe condescendingly explained again that we needed a big bag and that the smaller bag we had on us was not allowed. As though we tried to sneak in and were trying to steal the apples. So we explained again that we purchased an extra large bag and a small bag. This was additionally frustrating as there were people throughout the orchard without bags of any kind. After experiencing this and seeing the other brown family being yelled at we decided to leave.Absolutely disgusting. Will be telling everyone we can. Every customer should be treated equally.

What to do on a gorgeous fall afternoon!? Pick apples, of course. We were greeted by a very friendly person who shared good details about the apples, and the orchard was lovely. The apples we picked are delicious, and the smell of the apple crisp we’re baking now, is filling the house.

Very nice farm with a large orchard where we could walk and get a real feel of being out of town. We had a lot of fun picking the apples. They have many varieties in addition to some pear trees. As a family, we paid $35 for the bag and it fitted 90 apples and pears. All great quality and sweet. We reached early and did not have to wait to enter. The best trees are towards the middle of the orchard as the ones nearer the entrance had been picked a lot. We also tried their excellent apple cider (it is non alcoholic)

Every year my daughter plans a fall day with apple picking and pumpkin pie and we look forward to it all year.Applevale was extremely disappointing not only because of the variety of apples and how difficult it was to differentiate them but because the staff seemed intolerant and rude.We noticed another brown family get in trouble by who seemed to be the owner and so we continued on; until the same person came to my daughter and son in law and told them they weren’t allowed on the orchard with the bag they have.We bought the extra large bag and a small bag; while the requirement is just a large bag. They explained that they were with us and we had an extra large bag too but he still seemed to have a problem. If having people of colour come to your establishment is a problem, it should be made known. We are just trying to have a good day with our family and don’t need the discomfort when we are following all the rules.Extremely disappointing. Will be telling everyone we can. Every customer should be treated equally.

Sept 19 2022. Parking is free, receptionist is friendly. She informed us about the apples that are currently available and not available. We're the only people walking around inside the orchard. There's a lot of different varieties of apples (check my other photos for the list of apples). We paid 40$ 2 small bags per family (check photos for the size of the bag). The apples are sweet and delicious. There's a different sizes of apples: tiny, small and medium. They have honey, apple cider and pre-pick apples. I would like to mention the washroom it's dirty and it's 1 portable toilet only for everyone.

Went for apple picking here. Nice staff and they gave clear instructions on how to go about picking apples. They have many varieties of apples & there's a chart put up to help us know what apples we are picking We got the $30 sized bag, it could got nearly 60 apples, and around 10 peaches.

Hands down best apples in town! See what I did there? Ok, ok, this place is great. They let you come with a dog, they have good prices, their staff is friendly and reasonable.

Decent selection of already picked apples to buy. Good quality, unbruised and very few blemishes or superficial damage. We haven't done PYO apples here, but I am sure they are just fine since the quality of the ones we buy are good.
