Hunter's Pharmacy

Staff has trouble reading prescriptions and understanding medical terms. Usually takes a few tries to reach someone. Last person who helped me had no concept of what an intramuscular injection was. Sad to see this is a trans persons only option this side of Toronto. Pathetic if you ask me.

This pharmacy 100% scams their customers. Went to get a prescription filled and the compound pharmacist attempted to charge me $50 for a 25 minute mixing charge. Decided to call around to another pharmacy in the city that mixes compounds, they actually laughed at the 25 mins he was attempting to charge and said it should take 10 max. With Hunter it would have been over $25 out of pocket, with the other pharmacy it was $0. On top of that the staff there told me part of the prescription wouldn’t be covered just by asking who my provider was when that has nothing to do with what a person is covered for. I told them to check and they would see they are mistaken and they were, but now makes me wonder how many people they tell false claims too and don’t bother actually checking properly. Stay away from the place.

Needed a prescription during the first snow storm of the year so I sought out the closest one to my house. My doctors office faxed it over to Hunter Pharmacy. I called ahead to advise it was coming and provided all of my benefit info as I had never used their services before. The person I spoke to was polite and said it should be ready same day. Less than 2 hours later I received a call from the pharmacist that my prescription was ready and he gave me a full consult over the phone. Thank you so much for the great service!

You couldn't ask for more kind, helpful people. They go out of their way to answer any questions you might have. Wonderful pharmacy.

Great people here and they make some of their own brands of p popular medicines to save us money.

I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I cannot speak for all the staff as my interactions have been with one in particular but it always seemed as though she had a personal vendetta for me/my family. I have a son with specific nutritional and health needs that require prescription. This staff was rude and condescending and during one of the most difficult times in my life she made the experience only more stressful. The communication amongst the staff team is lacking and communication with their customers is even worse. Every week I would get different or conflicting information from the week before. Unfortunately, my rating falls on the pharmacy itself, but - you are who you employ.

We've been using hunters since we moved from Toronto to Windsor. It has been one of the best experiences with a pharmacy I've had. Community oriented and always willing to help

I have used this pharmacy for years and have always had 100% wonderful service! I have no idea how someone could give them one star!

After being annoyed that Shoppers looked at my prescription, said they couldn't make it and told me to go to Hunter's. The lady who helped me was super nice giving me several options including what to buy over the counter since it would have likely not been covered(the same stuff i could have gotten at shoppers). Ended up not being annoyed afterward knowing I gave my money to this place and not Shoppers.
