Went there for applying a VISA. The best VISA experience so far, the interior environment is calm and quiet, the staff is really friendly and helpful, no appointment is needed, press the doorbell they will let you in. The process is explained clearly and frustration-free. You will get a phone number and email for querying your application. When you call the number, there’s a real person answer you question, give you the status. I actually got my VISA back one day earlier, really appreciate.

February 2023So many interesting things going on here. To date, the events that I have attended are free. I receive the monthly newsletter to stay informed.My most recent event was the difference between Japanese sake and Japanese whisky. Both (Canadian) speakers were excellent, knowledgeable, and familiar with the Japanese culture. I learned a lot. Six tastings were offered at the end. A surprise, and yes, also free.The staff or perhaps volunteers are friendly, polite, and make you feel welcome.

Great consular service. Getting there by bicycle from Gatineau, QC, was a bit tricky because Google Maps and Apple Maps gave different routes. I ended up taking Google Maps for going, then Apple Maps for coming back. No problem.
