Vancouver Hospice Society

Fantastic facility. Only 8 beds so care is excellent. Nice and quiet beautiful gardens. Nurses are very nice. Could not say enough about how well they treat the patients in their care.Parking is in the alley way off connaught drive not Granville.

I would highly recommend Vancouver Hospice Society to anyone looking for hospice care. They were very prompt in arranging care for my Mother when it was time for hospice. They took such wonderful care of her in her final weeks. The staff is very kind and compassionate. Thank you for all you did for us as a family!

Place is not bad.care aids very mean.some are gud. But never send your loved one there. They give very strong medication which made my mom more week.she passed away in four days.so I say please never go there. If you want your loved one still live long then never send in Vancouver hospice.

TLDR: Nice facilities do not overcome their insensitivity and neglectful attitude. Think before sending your loved ones to this specific hospice. If i didn't stay there for 20+hours a day, i truly believe my mom would have passed sooner.Do not misconstrue that my anger at the hospice is as a result of my mother's passing. It is anger at the hospice's treatment of my mother during her week stay.My tipping point was my mother's final moments, which they've tainted. The nurse came in, saw her mottled legs/feet (signs that passing is near). She told me it would be soon. I ran to my mom's bedside. Then a volunteer comes in, stares at my mom, not saying anything, not offering us anything. What was her purpose there? She had already visited earlier in the morning. It was like my dying mother was her private side-show. I glared at her to leave, as it was highly insensitive. Once she left, i was relieved. Until the door opened again, i hear a lot of commotion by the door, with one lady (Counsellor) yelling down the hall Whats her name?" I hear someone respond "Jessica
