Had a much better experience here the first time.Ordered take out. It was complete empty when we walked in, just 4 staff members. The wait was excessive when we walked in, all staff ignored us until it got awkward and someone finally asked if they could help us.Ordered the Hoogie for the first time. Not impressed, a thin layer of cheap luncheon meats, basic cheese and bread and simple toppings. The thing was soggy and didn’t taste particularly good. Especially for $20.The fries were made fresh and were tasty.What really bothered me though was that it was pre-made and just thrown into a toaster over. I might as well just have gone to a fast food sub place and had my sub made fresh from scratch.It is also unacceptable for staff to be cleaning the kitchen with chemicals and splashing dirty filth water everywhere while also preparing my food at the same time.I’m doubtful I will ever return after this experience, a shame, because I liked Ken’s.

What an amazing place. The food is so so delicious, very fresh and incredible quality. The service is so great. We came in when it was busy we got our food in time and with a smile.Nice real hamburger. We are so full.

Great service and even better food! Huge place, deceiving from front entrance. Fish and chips were great and I was lucky enough to have schnitzel!

OK place: OK beer selection, OK food menu, OK atmosphere, and OK food taste. But there's not much else in Penetanguishene, so an OK place there is worth a try.

We have been going to Captain Ken's with our family and friends for several months now. Once or twice a week, all meals good, in fact very good.Had a weird one last night with an excellent end.Table of 8, my order of fish was wrong, I was told that my correct fish was on its way. They identified the error prior to me discovering it. I was asked to keep the wrong fish and my pickerel was on its way. Table shared the wrong one, replacement hot and served before most were a quarter way through.Gina was awesome and our group again enjoyed another great night.Price are good, food is great, 10/10 every time.John and Daisy Marskell

Four us stopped in for lunch yesterday- July 2nd. What a wonderful experience, the service and the food was great. Adams chicken wings were the best. You need to ask for them specifically as you can only get them if he is working.

We had a family lunch at Ken's. The service was fast and kind.The food was mediocre though. The kids menu (chicken fingers and fries) were OK but the roast biff was tasteless and the salat was plain.

DELICIOUS! First time customers--environment was wonderful. The portions were hugh, hot and tasty. Our server Jan was fantastic! We will definitely see you again!! Gloria & Michael
