Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery

First time in Barrie. We made a right decision to stop over and had our late lunch. The restaurant is packed and we have been accommodated politely. Our server Garette made a right recommendation on our drinks. I would say the food is savoury and in big portions. I would love to come back and try a different drinks and food offerings with friends and family. Highly recommended!

A local brew pub with an astonishing diversity of in house brewed beers with whimsical names. You can take many of them home in cans or growlers. Their menu is short, but well executed with good service. Tried their Cubano sandwich accompanied by a glass of Raving Loops of Computer Music (an Amber Lager). Both were excellent. Nice street side patio in warmer weather. The added bonus for music lovers: they offer live music most nights. Well worth visiting!

I gotta say, I'm usually pretty skeptical of vegan nachos, but these ones were dang delicious! Was just looking for a light lunch option, and they did not disappoint. Admittedly more filling and flavorful than I was expecting. Glad we were seated in the outdoor area as the live entertainment was deafening inside, and well, kinda meh. Otherwise great atmosphere, good service and a huge selection of house brews on tap. Definitely want to try that pickle pizza next time!

Had Kevin as our server; he was one of the most genuine servers I've had in years. Coming from the service industry whether or not you feel that focus from a place can mean a lot. Great beer, great atmosphere. The place is decked out in an amazingly artistic way. Someone took a lot of effort into this place from the top to the actually detailed bathroom. Host was super friendly on entry, overall HUGE recommend!

First time being here. Had a blast, live music every night. I went there in a Wednesday and music was awesome, drinks were fantastic, food is very good as well. The lay out is great, lots of cool stuff to see. Very fun and electric vibe, beers are all fantastic but my favourite was space age sunshine and Raving loops of computer music, but have a great selection overall. Bartender was great, younger guy but very knowledgeable. Service was too notch, crew had a great vibe. Really cool merch section too, I’ll have to come back and grab some! 100% recommend, loveThis place can’t wait to come back. Great job

Everything about Flying Monkeys was excellent. The staff, the ambience, the live music, the food and of course, the beer! I will definitely visit this amazing place everytime I'm in Barrie!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, nice selection of food to compliment the beverages. The sausage charcuterie board was excellent and had a great variety. Nachos were a good size and ample toppings.

Perfect beer, but horrible service.Our waiter was not attentive at all.My meal came with no cutlery.They have this button on your table that you can ask for the waiter, I pressed it, but after waiting for 5 minutes, no one showed up.I waved to the waitresses, and one of them saw me, but reluctantly just moved away. I waved to another one, same reaction. I was really passed by this behavior, but I did not react upon this.My burger did not taste good, and I sent it back, and that's OK cause it might happen. The manager came over and asked what was wrong with the burger. I explained it to him, but I did not order another food because of this behavior of the waiter. I did not say this to the manager cause I did not want to embarrass the waiter who was standing there and making a scene.But I can not overlook the fact that waiters looked at me and just walked away.Could it be because I was not Caucasian like them? I don't know.

Stopped I’m for dinner on a Saturday night, and while we had to wait a bit to get a table it was well worth the wait. The pretzel was amazing along with both the sandwich and burger. Beers of course were on point and delicious. The live music was also very good that added to the vibe. Definitely we will come back more regularly especially in the summer when the patio is open.
