BC Employment Standards Branch - Nanaimo Office

I had a very minor case with Employment standards my representative Ivy Choi sent me other peoples private cases, when I complained regarding the importance of privacy to her manager she brushed it off even though the Privacy Commissioners office gave me a call. After my unfounded attempts at a formal complaint and requested to have a new representative handle my case due to the new conflict of interest arising from my complaint again my requests were denied. After this my representative would not include any new evidence into my case which caused me a financial loss. After this was all done I have now received another persons private case in my email and still there is nothing to be done regarding addressing these serious breaches of very personal information. Don't Trust this Ministry!!!!! they are unaccountable to anyone. Proceed with caution!!!!!

Please check my review of millstone winery. My claim started July 19th, nothing happened until i went in Sept 26th, they are just back logged, they took the time to sit and talk with me, listened to what i had to say, and are doing everything they can to help me. It's now February 14th, 2023, nothing has been done.In March 2023, I received an email asking if I wanted to continue my claim, I've been homeless since October 2022, slept outside at Christmas, running from police, bylaw and junkies. They still haven't touched my claim, they wanted to know if they could dump it. I WORKED FOR 7 MONTHS NO PAY AT MILLSTONE WINERY, ALMOST STARVED TO DEATH. DO YOUR JOB.In June 2023 they took my case, if that's an indication of how busy they are, I highly do not recommend working in Nanaimo.
