Free Spirit Dance

My husband and I had three dance lessons with Theresa before our wedding and had a fabulous time. We didn’t want a fully choreographed dance, but to learn a few key moves and a bit of a motion for the chorus and verses. It went great and now we have a bunch of moves for Stampede and other events! Theresa was super patient, fun, and a great teacher. Our first dance was an absolute hit and we had so much fun together doing it, our guests loved it too! It was so much more entertaining for our wedding and a really fun way to bond and learn together leading up to our big day. If you are considering lessons, do them with Theresa!!

We had Theresa choreograph our first dance for our wedding as we had chosen an instrumental and upbeat song to dance to. Theresa was able to come up with an amazing dance and was able to teach it to my partner and I, despite us being extreme beginners and never having danced before! The lessons were so much fun and we were able to gain the confidence to dance in front of our family... and even have some fun with it! Our first dance was the highlight of our wedding night, and our guests are still talking about it a week later! Would highly recommend Theresa to anyone wanting to have dance lessons before any special event!

Theresa is great! We took 5 private lessons to learn to dance for our wedding, and with very little prior experience this was perfect! When I reached out for details she responded quickly and with all the information I needed on pricing and options. It made the choice so easy! She is patient, a great instructor, and gave us the skills to put together a dance to the song we chose. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to stress about a first dance on your wedding day!

Theresa is an amazing instructor who definitely knows what she is doing and does it well! As new learners we always felt comfortable in her classes. When my partner and I started dance lessons a year ago, I had the proverbial 2 left feet and felt that I was a hopeless case. We've had about 10 private lessons with Theresa and I can now proudly report that I'm a regular John Travolta! Well, maybe that's an exaggeration but at least I'm not making a complete fool of myself on the dance floor. And it's actually fun! Theresa's teaching style is super easy going but also very instructional and motivating. I'd highly recommend Theresa and Free Spirit Dance.

The free Spirit Dance Studio has been an amazing place to go to. I have been going to this place for almost a month now. After the busy day at work, it is amazing to go and unwind with either one of their dance classes or their workout classes. The workout classes are filled with energy. Especially Tope and Rachels classes. And the dance classes are a great way to learn simple dance even for beginners like me!Also i have to mention about Theresa and all the instructors. All of them are so welcoming and encouraging. They make sure that you give your best and make it fun along with that as well.Update : 3 months in and i am still loving it! The classes are so great and i am loving each and everyone of them

If you’re looking for a crash course for wedding dance, look no more! We were less than a month from the wedding day and getting frustrated with self learning on YouTube. Theresa taught us the entire song within two lessons and helped us perfect the moves so we look absolutely amazing on our wedding day. Thank you so much Theresa!!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Ceilidh Morrison's class (contemporary dance for beginners).She is such a wonderful teacher with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The environment was comfortable and relaxed, the other students were friendly and cheerful and the place had very positive, open-minded vibes in general. I was super anxious going to my first dance class as an absolute beginner but I felt respected and not judged and very very inspired to continue my dance journey. I'm so grateful to the Free Spirit Dance Studio for creating a safe and fun place for all types of movers and dancers to explore and experiment. This is a great judgment-free place to start your dance journey as an adult. ❤️
