Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene (Acme Supplies)

No public restroom. Poor directions to other places that also had no washrooms. ThePrice seemed high due to supply issue dated back to December 2021. They were nice enough, I feel like we can coexist... but the no bathroom to the public policy in a place that sells paper towel and cleaners....idk. left a hair on my tongue.3/5 policy-wise4/5 friendliness4/5 work ethic to get product out2/5 location2/5 client control to comply with government mandate(s)

Have used them as a supplier for my company for 7 years. They used to be very very helpful and professional and had lots of staff with good knowledge about their products. Since Bunzl took over, they have missed replying to emailed in orders and It can be very difficult at times to call in and get a hold of anyone by phone. At times they have been rude to me when calling in.When I try and buy window cleaning supplies often times the orders are wrong. I’d say it’s rare to get a correct order from them even if I’m using the manufacturers item description. I’m really trying not to use them as a supplier anymore but it’s difficult to find others on the island.They recently stopped taking credit cards and offered to extend net 30 terms to me. I've never taken out business loans or bought supplies on credit and so they denied me despite always paying my bills for the past 6 years.Now every order I place usually has to be paid 2-3 times via e-transfer because items take different amount of time to come into stock and are shipped/ billed separately. I'm ok with the change in payment methods but, the major inconvenience in having to send multiple transfers every week I place an order is making me reconsider using them in the future.Edit: They have contacted me and returned to the old payment system.

Since and before Covid, Acme have been my Knights in shinny armor...Martin, Val and the rest of the team have always assisted me with all my cleaning needs. At times it can be tough as supplies are in demand but I never fear...they have my back and provide me with the best service ever!!! Knowledgable about all products and always provide me information about trying new products...thank you...thank you to everyone up front, in the warehouse, in repairs and the office!!!

Dealt with my issues and I so far have been really helpful since I've been working with them again.Had some issues when they first took over from acme but they really made sure to fix the issues that I had.

Love the staff, great selection and very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend!

Parking isn’t the greatest but once inside you’ll find really nice people serving the customers. I was only there for a few items and the selection was good.

Martha was incredibly helpful and patient (I can be kind of high maintenance). After several informative and always polite emails, I got exactly what I needed shipped to me on Vancouver Island very quickly. I highly recommend Acme Supplies!

I'm a customer of theirs for cleaning supplies etc to prep our materials at Alley Kat Signs and Marketing and they are customers of ours for truck graphics and vehicle wraps.

I have been ordering cleaning supplies toilet paper etc for my local cafe for two years. Every single time I have called to place an order they have been either out of at least one of the very common items I need, given attitude and talked down to/ received unfriendly service. My cafe is about 4 blocks from acme and on average it takes 1 - 2 weeks to receive my order of paper towels and hand soap. Usually I have to just go pick it up myself because we run out of items and cant wait any longer.As of lately I nobody answers the phone so I place my order on the answering machine, as well as by email to be extra sure they get my order. still after weeks of waiting and calling and emailing several times to see if they even received my order nothing. I know its covid and people are working from home but after a year things should be sorted out, and it has been nothing but a huge hassle long before the pandemic. I dont like leaving bad reviews or complaining but this company is ridiculous. Time to find a new supplier and I am happy to pay a little more for proper service.
