Showed up 3 hours late. left mud and dirt on the carpets and floors and pulled wires out of the furnace controllers. Will never use them again.

Made an appointment for a morning cleaning/inspection. They didn't show so I called, they bumped it to early afternoon. Then they pushed it to late afternoon. At 4pm they said they couldn't come and setup another date. They did the same thing.

Letter I sent to Patrick wit no response.November 21, 2022To: Master Chimney Sweep Ltd.3182 Rte 895 Elgin, NBPatrick:I am sending this e-mail with some hope that we can get this issue solved with our Napoleon Wood furnace.I am losing sleep and wake up feeling sick because this is always on my mind.We first had the meeting and I discussed replacing our old wood furnace with you back in March 2022 you promised that I could put on a wood fire in the morning, before I left for work in the and I would not have to worry about the safety. I can’t even put one on when I am home with out worrying. because I am not confident it is hooked up correctly. Right now the furnace you installed is unusable.You installed in March 2022 and since we are unable to use the wood furnace, I had to get Furnace oil delivery twice in the Spring and just had to fill up the oil tank again for a total of $2,200.00. I am going out today to buy an electric heater to help take the chill of the house, as I can’t afford to keep buying oil.We should be enjoying our new to us house, but we are not able to do that as we are worrying about heating our house.I know you have made a couple tries at get it running without solving the problem.Since you could not find the time to properly install I had to call another company.When I had A1 Chimney come out to look at it, they took the electrical cover off it, and it said it looked like a rat’s nest. There were wire not hook up to anything just bare wires and at lease one of them was a live wire. also the ground wire was not connect.These were all just shoved into the box. When he called his boss they dicised they did not what to have anything to do with it because they did not know what was hooked up and what wasn’t. there was what looked like speaker wire use in the control box.I need this correct and up to code with now of this is.If you need an electrician to help you hook it up there is Miller Electric out in Baie Verte.Let me know what the plan is to rectify these problemsRegardsGeorge Bates

Please stay as far away from this guy as possible. Unfortunately I used this guy to sweep my chimney, huge mistake. He claimed that my stove was installed incorrectly as per the diagram on the back, I disagreed with him and asked if I contacted the manufacturer of the stove and they agreed with me would he change the fact that he wrote on the receipt it was not WETT certified, he agreed.I took pictures and sent a sketch to the manufacturer, and told them what his concerns were. The manufacturer agreed with me that the stove was installed correctly, I sent him all the communications and he still refused to change the receipt. Basically he wanted me to build another wall beside my stove in the living room to make it a “corner installation”. The guy doesn’t know what he is talking about (concerning as apparently he teaches classes) also why would he go through the whole process of sweeping the chimney out taking my money then after I paid is when he wrote not certified on the receipt.The previous owners had used this guy and nothing was written on their receipt, I showed him and he claims he made a mistake on the previous occasion.My advice to Patrick: look up what “minimum” means in the dictionary as apparently he doesn’t have a clue. The wall in question was 12feet away (well above the 12inches MINIMUM required), claimed that I needed to add a wall 12” beside the stove (adding a wall would obviously trap heat). Look at the other reviews and do yourself a favour and stay away!
