TL;DR - slow service, okay food, not worth the waitWe got a table right away, but it took 15 minutes to even get menus, another 15 before our order was taken, and another 25 minutes before we could even get a glass of water. 50 minutes to get a glass of water... which was then never refilled. And the place was quite hot, we were seated directly in a sun beam. So water would have been appreciated.Half the items on the menu were unavailable because two shipments hadn't come in. We understand these things happen, but from a customer experience perspective, probably better to communicate that up front (when we're first seated and menus provided), rather than after we've decided what we want only to repeatedly be told they don't have any of those things.Food was dry and overcooked - except the fries, which were soggy and bland. Needed salt, but there was none to be found on any of the tables. And since no one ever came to check how the food was or if we needed anything, we had to poke our heads into the kitchen to ask for salt. Saw other diners doing the same to ask for things. Burgers didn't taste like much. Maybe the Indian dishes on the menu have more flavour?Looked like maybe they were short-staffed? Everyone seemed to be overwhelmed and busy. My heart goes out to them, but based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Camping in bella coola and on a rainy day wanted to eat in somewhere. Randomly found Freddys and very very happy with food. Had fish and chips and it was made perfectly with homemade tartar sauce and the most delicious fries too! Other customers got burgers that looked huge and delicious.Will eat there again!

The service was okay... The inventory, well, needs a renewal. The kitchen was clean though; could look right into it. What saved stars was the food. That was just awesome!

One of the best cheeseburgers I've had in a while. Will definitely go again. The fries & gravy are great too. A friend of mine had the Yam fries here and highly recommended them.4.5 stars- because Ive only gone once so far.. I'll have to try another meal.Pleasantly surprised when I walked in... much more different inside than I expected.

I am sorry its taken me only 12 months to write this but I really wanted the Freddy's restaurant to know how much I appreciate their food and customer service.Last year I was in Bella Coola and the journey as well as the destination was beyond my imagination. So amazing and one of the reasons is Freddy's restaurant.Bella Coola is a small and amazingly warm community.We ordered multiple times from coffee, snacks to fill dinner take out from this place,they have an amazing blend or authentic and fusion meals. The staff is fabulous and went above and beyond with my order.A must visit while you are in BellaCoola

WELL DONE GUYS!This placed opened up quite recently, and I was one of their first lucky customers.If you ever go to Bella Coola, you don't really have a lot of choices when it comes to dining in, and if you look around, you will see that Freddy's Restaurant is actually the only choice.Customer service: 5*The waitress was nice, friendly, helpful, and last but not least: fast with my order.Food: 4* - not a high-class resto, but they have okay food.Price: 5* - I found the price very, very affordableCleanliness: 5* - no issues here.I event went back on the next day to get breakfast, which was amazing.Keep up with the good work guys, and spread the word!

So I read some reviews and talked a big family group of about 12 of us to come for dinner while we're all down visiting in the valley. The food was excellent. The service was excellent and the owner came out and checked on us after he has slaved away to get all our food out at the same time. They were super efficient even with one waitress at the time. She was working double time for us. The Indian food was great!! And everyone that ordered western enjoyed there food as well. My wife ordered fish and chips. The portion was huge. The photo she took below is after eating half of her dish!!! It was spot on ! Would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the valley!! Thanks again Freddy's!!

My boyfriend and I ordered some food while we were visiting Bella Coola mid September there and we got food here two nights during our 9 day stay. And the food was really good, except the fries, but we got burgers, fish and salads and it was fresh and awesome! The service was great, super friendly and welcoming staff. We saw one of the park rangers working there who also worked at the Berlarko Wildlife Viewing Platform, funny story. But, I highly recommend it! They take orders up until closing too, so we were super happy we got food after our long, exhausting busy day. (We didn't feel like cooking after our adventures). I highly recommend the fried pickles, my favourite! And the Canadian Burger was wicked! I'll definitely be back next year when we visit again! :)
