On our first day in Fredericton, my wife and I were invited for a brunch at the Diplomat and we couldn't have asked for a better welcoming present! The breakfast is simply delicious! All staff members were great at their jobs, treated us wonderfully and the prices were fair. It's not a mystery why this is a classic and traditional place in Fredericton. We recommend it to everyone!!!

We went on July 1st 2023. We had the buffet, and liquor. Spent over 145.00 food was great. Atmosphere was awesome good window seat but the parking lot. It was supper time so we waited for buffet 40 minutes. Our waitress was the worst. No hello or anything when we first sat down she just said we got no fountain drinks snarky. Ok anything by bottle no. Liquor it is. Lol. During our meal I had to ask for more ice for my water I was drinking. She came towards the end with it. During our meal she was with others. Very snippy with people i noticed especially after they order or if they needed something extra. I family of 4 came in. Mom dad boy around 3 and smaller boy 1.5 one had been crying and they were ordering food. Dad was getting the buffet. He took the boy with him. Once he came back something transpired with the same waitress and they up and left without eating. Boy was she not impressed to clean off that table and put new stuff out. Then she seated others. Back to us. We were finished and she seemed to have a nice streak in her. How was the meal? What we were gonna do for evening? If we were gonna have nice weather for fireworks. Then I paid her by debit. Tipped her and everything even though she didnt deserve it. asked me if I wanted my slip I replied yes and she threw it on the table like a sulky child. Personally switch just like that. I then realised we had had her before. I so wanted to go up and ask for my tip back with management but we had been there long enough. Canada yeah it was busy but come on....put a smile on and act like you want to be there or get a new job. Diplomat always busy. Next time I will call you out on your crabby behavior.

Friendly staff and a lot of variety. They have an all day breakfast option, large lunch and dinner menu and a buffet option.The food itself could have been a bit more flavourful compared to some of the other Chinese food spots around town. The price is also pretty average for the city. We had the buffet option and so got to sample much of the different dishes. Everything was cooked well and for $33 it's worth it, if like me, you eat a lot. Nice desserts too.

INCREDIBLE! Snow Crab in the buffet. My girlfriend loved the Curry noodles, I loved the wings. There is lots of variety for a Chinese buffet and the dessert at the buffet was incredible. Chinese

Can't see why others diss the 'Dip'.At first glance, yes it seems pricey, but the immense portions justify the price.Awesome combo plates...HUGE combo plates!All prepared fresh, served hot,and promptly.Our Server very genial, helpful and great humour. Thank you Audra.Pleasant and satisfying dinner.
