Lake Okanagan Resort

Absolute horrible place. Don’t get fooled by the pictures. Place is a dump. It feels like you’re in a horror movie.I would not recommend coming here for anything. Stay away.

Just spent a week at the resort. Had an excellent stay, very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views and everyone I met was very friendly. Room was clean and in good shape, the kitchen and all the supplies to cook with and then some were there. We had a happy surprise waiting in the bedroom… a FAN! As a fan sleeper this made my day and made the nights so much nicer.The view is amazing, managed to catch some amazing pictures of the northern lights while we were there. Some other reviews seem pretty scathing, and it’s true that the resort is somewhat dated, and the “resort” aspect seems to have faded away, tho there was a tennis court and seems the golf course is still there, but it was February when we stayed. Most resorts close their recreational facilities for winter months anyways.Laundry on site worked well, and, I wish we knew this one detail before arriving, they use the coinmatic system with cards, so if you use that at home bring your laundry card. Otherwise it is 15$ to get the card and load it.The road in was a bit terrifying our first couple trips to and from, but offered incredible views and lots of bighorn sheep to see along the way.All in all had a great stay, booked for a very reasonable price for the 6 day trip. Would and have already recommended it to friends. But if you’re looking to stay planted at the resort for the whole stay it’s not likely for you. We used its as a kind of base camp for our adventures of beautiful Kelowna.

Our room had a great view of the lake but the hotel is not the best. The room was generally ok but the pool and stuff are not clean. The sofa bed was broken and I had to use an air mattress that I brought myself. Bring sheets because I am not sure if they change the sheets, specially the sofa bed’s sheet. They give you one small shampoo so bring an extra. Our key stopped working on the last day, so check if the key is working before heading out. They are not always there and may not bring you an extra key. In overall, if other places are full, this is a tolerable place.

My boyfriend booked this last minute as our original plans kind of fell threw and boy am I glad that they did!! First off, the communication, getting the information and booking was super easy, along with contactless check in/out! The locals are just wonderful and the maintenance worker always greeted us with a smile and hello… was so nice and refreshing to see. The room we stayed in was super cute and clean, set up to enjoy and had a nice easy flow to it. Oh!! There is a laundry room on site, however you need a debit or credit card to first purchase the card( the instructions are posted!) Laundry room easy access and clean! The entire resort was neat, no complaints here. Cannot wait to come back and try it in the warmer months !!! ❤️ Thank you so much !

Doesn’t worth the price at all. The views are nice but seems like this place is an abandoned resort. The rooms and the pool need some serious cleaning and renovation.They changed the room I booked without any notice and gave me a room that wasn’t nearly as good. And told me no other room is available. Terrible experience.Plus, after midnight somebody climbed to our balcony and woke us up! He said he was locked out of his room and was trying to reach the unit above us, because the hotel was too lazy to bring him another key.

READ THIS BEFORE MAKING A RESERVATIONFirst of all, if you wanna reserve with them, CALL THEM. Don't book it online to avoid bad surprise!Ok so We reserved on booking .com and right after booking it, I received a sms for the confirmation. I asked the person to confirm me that the room on the pictures is what we are gonna get. I even shared the pictures of the bedroom and the yellow nice building. The person confirmed that yes, that's what we r gonna get. So perfect, my friends and I were happy.The morning of our check in, we received a sms with the address and the code of the door. First of all, it was a different address of what we reserved for. They sent us to the 2753 instead the 2751 Westside Road, kelowna. So that was weird. When we got there, we realized that we are not staying in the Lake okanagan resort but another random old white condo building next to it! So it was completely a scam! The owner of the condo needed, I guess, the money so he lied to us. Plus We didn't get access to the hot tube because he didnt paid his annual condo fees.We stayed at 134-2753 Westside Road, kelownaWhen we tried to msg the person that we wanted some explanations, the person just ignored my msg. So please please please, book directly by phone with them to avoid bad surprise like us. Their phone number is here on google map!

Loved our stay here. Views of the lake were awesome from our room.

Amazing views and property has tons of potential - can't beat the views, air and dock. That's where the positives end. Stayed at one of the condos (which is better than a hotel here) and still had no water for a whole day(still waiting for it to come on). Condos have no dishwasher which is ok but when there is no water, it's a bit of an issue. Restaurant on premises is now closed for the summer so bring your own food or be prepared to drive lots. Overall, not a great place to stay at all. Not coming back. It def should not be called a resort

Amazing for a day on the water. Facilities are well kept lots of wildlife and plenty of views. Tiki bar at the beach front definatley is a huge draw! Plus boat rentals! Make sure you book ahead. This place is busy but for good reason

This is not a resort anymore. It is virtually abandoned. There is no store. No restaurant. No bar. Everything is at least a 20 minute drive away down a windy road. The main pathway from my room to the pools was closed off and overgrown. I couldn't go to the pool because it would be a 10 minute walk up an extremely steep road. Not worth it. Overall, I feel the marketing was deceptive and outdated. This is great if you're just looking for a room near a dock, but not much else.I don't understand the rave reviews about the tiki bar and tacos. It is more like a hot dog stand and closes at 8pm.Beach was very small, but nice. Dock was nice. Amazing views.
