New Westminster Electrical Utility

I called today as I have not received any communications in regards to whether or not my electric account was set up as the last communication I received was a confirmation for me signing up for an account. A lady picked up and already sounded irritated right off the bat. I explained my situation and that I was calling in to follow up on what is going on with my account as it’s going into my 3rd month and have yet to receive any communications what so ever nor have I received a physical bill. She responded sassily that I really should check my mail more often?! Which I don’t see how that comment would help my situation. I let her know that I check my mail and had also just recently checked it yesterday and saw no mail at all. She was no help at all and was just rude to someone who was just calling in to make sure everything was good (which it is not because I found out my bill is already past due and still have yet to receive anything informing me of this). Hopefully the person she referred me to would be much nicer and more helpful than she was.

I had the insulator on my house torn off by a tree branch. I called the electrical department, and they fixed it up quickly. Very prompt service and excellent staff. Well prepared and equipped crew. Very nice people to deal with. A ++ service from this department.

Hard to be confident in your electrical company when your power goes out, it's -12c and they are rude to you and hang up.
