Safeway Westmount Centre

This review isn't for this specific store, it is for the dispatch center of the flowers and baskets.I placed an online order on Saturday February 4th for a sympathy basket to be delivered. It gave me the 4th as a delivery date, so I selected this option. Delivery did not happen on that day.I received an email on February 5th stating the delivery did not happen and that it would be delivered on the 5th. I confirmed via email that this was ok. Delivery did not happen on that day either.I received another email on the Feb 6th stating the delivery did not happen, so I requested delivery on the 6th. Guess what? It did not happen again.I emailed them and asked for delivery on the 8th in the AM as the funeral was on the 7th and no one would be available to receive the package.Surprise! It was not delivered on the 8th nor did I receive a call or an email from them. I had followed up on my own and was told they cannot guarantee delivery times, which is fine but they didn't deliver it at all.So here we are on Feb 9th, I followed up again to see if the delivery happened or was going to happen. I called them. I spoke to the service person and she informed me that the basket was scheduled for delivery but could not tell me if it had been completed and to call back after 1pm. Unreal. They couldn't even suggest that they would call me when it was delivered. So I called again at 2:30 and they said they needed to check if it was delivered and put me on hold. I was then disconnected after waiting on hold for a few minutes. The lady called and apologized for disconnecting me and informed me that the basket was indeed supposed to be delivered but could not confirm whether it was or not.So, here I am six days after paying in full for a delivery that may or may not happen and no effort on the dispatchers part to, at the very least, keep me posted on a delivery status.I use safeway all the time as my go-to" flower and basket services place but after this lack-luster customer service experience I will no longer be giving them my business. It's a shame really

Groceries are too expensive to give any large grocery store high praise.Staff as always were amazing, knowledgeable and helpful.That still does not make the price gouging hurt any less.

This store is the worst I ever seen.Not every black man with a cap on his head mean he's going to steal in your store.Please teach your undercover agent in the store how to follow and do his job with diligence.Your customer service is horrible and on top of that most of your shelves are empty.

All the departments are very well maintained, cleaned and stocked. One of the few stores with items that are in shortage. Beautiful floral department boasting big Black, Orange and/ or Purple roses!

Great place to shop but shopping there is to high and there is no airmile to collect points anymore

Great store until you get to the meat department I'm sure the meat cutters have no idea what they are doing . I know this because I've shopped at westmount for many years and have been to other Safeway stores and it is so much better. The meat cutters prior to Sobeys taking over where great but now have gone. I was just at westmount looking for a steak and they had slices threw the meat not sure what that's about?

I love it here! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. A few weeks ago I asked Marcus where the grenadine was and he told me Aisle 6 top shelf on the right by the Pepsi." I've never been more impressed

My advice is not to go to this location at lunch time since there is a high school close by and it gets very busy and the cashiers move slowly. In general, I find this location to have long wait times for check outs. It does have a Starbucks inside, which is nice. I’ve also had very positive experiences with the floral department and the bakery.

Our neighbourhood Safeway! Helpful staff. Clean store. Well stocked shelves. We even like the kinda gruff dude at the self checkout.

Nice clean organized store with lots of fresh produce and food varieties. Very friendly professional staff. When are we going get Safeway stores back again in other areas of the city of Edmonton.
