This is an amazing old church. Great architecture and beautiful stained glass. The minister here is very welcoming even to someone like me who is not a church going guy. We go to a couple of events here each year and enjoy the events and the folks who volunteer.

This review is based only on the Bloor Street United Church's actions (and the actions of those representing it) as a community member. This church attempted to build over their site previously and was turned down. The last time they did so they came with bigger guns and made sure that the community in the area (outside of church members) was completely ignored. They lied and deceived to make the situation seem different than it actually is. I've never seen such disregard for a community outside of themselves as I have with this church. If I could give them zero stars I would

Bloor Street United Church
Wonderful downtown church congregation, with programs that reach out into the neighbourhood and larger urban community, and that appeal to, and include all: children, refugees and newcomers, seniors, LGTTB2Q, Torontonians from all walks of life. Definitely an inclusive and welcoming faith community in the midst of our large diverse city.
