We hired Ian to pipe us into our wedding reception in September 2021 in Toronto. As a wedding vendor Ian was ideal - he showed up on time and did exactly what we hired him to do. Being piped in really set an electric tone for the rest of the dinner. We couldn't have been happier, and highly recommend Ian.

I’ve witnessed this awesome band in Toronto and the amazing party vibes that they generate from the stage to the audience and knew that we had to bring the band and party to our small town showcase venue north of the city, Heartwood Concert Hall. The Mercenaries did not disappoint! Total pros, amazing danceable set lists, they dress for the show and fun times! Easy to do business with, will cater to your musical requests. I would not hesitate to hire The Mercenaries for a public, private or corporate event. Good times from start to finish!

I'd seen The Mercenaries pack dancefloors in Toronto bars, and I knew I had to hire them for my wedding. They played three electric sets of vintage rock and soul covers that had guests of all ages boogying. They're ace musicians with infectious energy. We opted to add horns, which elevated the whole experience. Bandleader Ian was a pleasure to deal with too. He's got reams of songs to choose from that run the gamut from 50s R&B to 60s rock to 70s funk to 80s pop, and more. If you need a band for an event, hire The Mercenaries! Highly recommended.

Ian Goodtimes and his projects have been a huge part of my businesses The Dakota Tavern and The Hayloft Dancehall. Ian and his Mercenaries held down the coveted Sunday night residency slot for 6 years. At the Hayloft he played every opening weekend and most of our long weekend special events. The reason is simply he is consistently the hardest working and most entertaining man I know. Ian is a community builder in a community that needs more leaders and gig bosses like him. His genuine love for performing and entertaining attracts some of the country's best musicians who all want to play on his stage. What that does for a venue is create a spectacle vibe at every show that is invaluable to the story of the venue. I'm proud to have been part of Ian's story and grateful he is part of mine.

Let The Mercenaries teach you to give the pandemic a one finger salute with their (strictly medicinal) rock in roll grooves! Seriously though, these guys are Amazing musicians with great energy and are the most fun night out ever!

The band was hired for a surprise 50th anniversary socially distanced backyard event for our immediate family. Because of the pandemic, just our immediate family attended. The band was absolutely fantastic; the wide variety of music they provided had us dancing the night away. We would have no hesitation in recommending their services. What a great evening to remember!

The Mercenaries were the highlight of my wedding - Amazing musicians, best songs, and great vibes that kept our dance floor going all night. Lead singer, Ian, was a breeze to plan and coordinate with. Made the day of feel extra special. Highly recommend!!!

The Mercenaries rocked an all 80's theme for my 50th birthday for a crew of 80 people. (Pre-covid of course) They are totally engaged in the whole gig, and are truly great entertainers!I highly recommend!

This band cant be beat! The energy, joy and fun they brought MADE my wedding night! It was infectious. Even my 80 year old grandpa couldn't stop dancing all night. Great song choices. high level musicians and performers. I cant imagine my wedding without them. They arrived on time and were super professional and fun to work with. I would hire them again in a second for any event.

We wanted music to be a major focus of our wedding. The Mercenaries kept everyones energy up all night long as they masterfully played through all of our favourite songs. An added bonus was how easy and stress free they made the entire process. Thank you for making our special day everything we dreamed of.
