Very friendly staff. My truck blew a head gasket recently (thankfully under warranty) and the staff at Port Elgin Chrysler very quickly assessed the issue and got me into a rental within a couple days. Will update once repairs are complete but so far very pleased with the service and staff so far! Definitely would recommend Port Elgin Chrysler.

We purchased a truck at the end of October. We are from BC and the dealership wasn’t comfortable financing for us without us there. Not a problem as we had another dealership that was willing to be the financing middle man as a favour to us.Joe stated the truck was a 9/10, had absolutely nothing wrong with it other than a small scratch that would buff out. Said the truck was in excellent condition and mechanically had nothing wrong with it. Boy were we misled….We had hired a transporter to get the truck from Ontario to BC. Needless to say that didn’t work out so we flew out there in December to pick the truck up ourselves and drive it back. Long day that had us arrive at 10pm to pick the truck up.The second we turned the truck on, it had 10km to empty in the tank. Not impressed, but not a lot we can do at this point. Go to leave the parking lot of the dealership and notice the clutch fan is stuck on. LOUD howling that would have been impossible to not know something was wrong. Then a few blocks down the road, the ABS alarm starts going off. Boyfriend checks the oil service on the truck, never done and needs to be done ASAP. We had to get home so my boyfriend called a mechanic friend and asked if the truck was ok to operate or would cause further damage. He said it will be annoying and use a ton of fuel but won’t cause any damage to the vehicle.The next day we contacted Joe to tell him about the issues. He made it VERY clear that it’s the responsibility of the dealership we bought it off of to handle those issues and that the issues will be covered under the vehicle’s warranty…?! We were shocked to say the least as it was made very clear we only financed through the other dealership but because the other dealer essentially bought the vehicle (at LOT price) it’s not their problem. Completely greasy. They knew we were traveling out to get the truck and had a long trip home.We contacted Ram dealerships that all said the same thing, vehicle is ok to drive home but will be an annoyance. We get home and get the truck in. Truck is not under warranty and we’re out of pocket. Tried to resolve the issue with BOTH dealerships with almost zero support on the matter. I think they gave up $500 towards a $1600 service let alone the other 5k in repair bills.The truck in total has costed over 12k in repairs to date. Complete lemon and was a 4/10 on a good day.If you want to be scammed out of thousands by purchasing a lemon, then use this dealership. Gross way to do business.

I spent $120k on a new truck. Got very little from them for the amount I spent and could hardly negotiate anything into the deal. The few things they did promise me they did not deliver on. They lied and said they were done when they weren’t and then said they couldn’t do them after I signed the paperwork. I also payed extra for the rust proof warranty and when I got home I realized there was multiple spots with oil over spray on the body of my truck. They refused to get it cleaned for me. I drove over 3 hours to do business with this dealership because I had been treated so well by their service department in the past when my old truck had a mishap due to a recall. Their service department was so nice and helpful. Their sales department could not be any further from that! Once you sign the papers and they have your money they don’t care about you or your business in any way shape or form! I won’t ever buy anything from here again and I will make sure none of my family or friends do either! If I can give anyone advice spend your money else where! I’ve bought multiple new vehicles and I’ve never been treated this poorly or disrespected this badly from any other dealership before. So my advice is take your business somewhere it will be appreciated! Cause that place sure isn’t Elgin Chrysler!
